Filled with Sweetness Stadium Wave Card

My stampers were fascinated with the Sweet Bug Stadium Wave card I made, so I wanted to share how to make one.  The Homemade Sweetness DSP images are just PERFECT for the "waves"! So, I created this "Becky Original" using the DSP and Filled with Sweetness Bundle!  I LOVE how it turned out...and it really isn't difficult to make, one the waves are assembled! (And, this orientation only uses 6!)

Measurements:

  • Secret Sea: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE, 6" X 10" (waves), scrap (label)
  • Basic White: 1/4 sheet (jar), scraps
  • Granny Apple Green: strings, bow
  • Homemade Sweetness DSP (N): 4" x 5 1/4" (blue check - front), 2 pcs 4" x 5 1/4" (inside), 1 1/2" x 4 1/2" (jar topper) (small floral), fussy cut small jam jars
To Make This Card:
  • Score the Secret Sea base @ 5 3/8" from each end, creating an 1/8" "gusset" for the "bulk" of the waves.
  • Adhere the "blue check" to the front, and the 2 pcs of small floral to the inside, trimming a bit, if necessary.
  • Next, we'll create the waves. For this version, we need 6 - 1" "waves".
  • Score across the 10" side @ 4 - 8" - 8 3/4" - 9 1/2".
  • Cut into 6 - 1" strips that measure 1" x 10"
  • Next, crease each strip creating a "valley" fold.  the 1/2" at the bottom you will use to attach the top and bottom together. I also used tear n tape to put these together.
  • To make the entire "mechanism", first place tear n tape on the right side of each "wave" with the folds to the top.
  • Then, assemble them together over lapping them 1/2" and adhering them to the tear n tape.
  • Lastly, place tear n tape on the top and bottom "waves". These will adhere them to the inside of the card.
  • Next, we'll insert the "mechanism" to the "spine" with Multipurpose Glue.  This takes a little time to dry, put DOES work perfectly! I held it for a while, and then propped it up to finish drying. (For our class purposes, I'm going to try my low temp glue gun.)
  • Next, I removed the tear in tape of the top "wave" and closed the card.  Repeat for the bottom "wave".  And, voila the wave is done!  It's really NEAT!!
  • Next, I fussy cut 6 "jam jars" (one of each) and adhered them to the "waves".
  • For the front, I stamped a "jar" in Misty Moonlight ink, and die cut with coordinating die.
  • I also die cut a jar topper, granny apple "strings", and a label from Misty Moonlight scrap. Also cut a White label, and cut along the dotted lines! Stamp sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink.
  • Stamp "strawberry" and "blueberries" in Memento Black ink, and color with Blends.  Die cut with coordinating dies.
  • Assemble all on front of card.
  • To finish the inside, I added a White panel to the inside from the Nested Essentials Dies.
