Floral Spray Double Vision Card

I was enamored with the Double Vision Cards I have been seeing! Neat effect, but not as easy to do as it looks! They remind me of the Eclipse Cards we did back in the day! This version uses our gorgeous, new Floral Spray 3D Embossing Folder in White for an elegant look! It is really striking IRL!

Measurements:

  • Basic White: 1/2 sheet, 4" x 5 1/4", 2 3/4" x 3 1/4" (flower), scrap
To Make This Card:

  • Select the area of this large, Floral Spray Embossing Folder to emboss.  Be thinking of the placement of the large flower.
  • Next, take this embossed piece and cut it into 8 - 1/2" strips. Make sure as you cut you keep them in order!
  • Begin with the farthest LEFT piece and adhere it directly to the folded White card base.
  • Then, LAY the next into place, for spacing, and adhere the next, third, piece.
  • Remove the "placeholder", keeping the order.
  • Continue with "placeholder" and adhered piece until 4 pieces are on your card base.
  • Now, for the OTHER 4 pieces.  These will be popped up!  It was suggested to use the outside edges of your Dimensionals for this! Or, you could also use Foam Adhesive Strips (which are also a little taller!)
  • Before you line these up and pop them into place, it was suggested to put Multipurpose Glue on top of the adhesive of the Dimensionals to help you slide them into place without them grabbing so fast!  Isn't that neat!
  • I started from the LEFT, again, lined up the pattern, and adhered them into place!
  • Sit back and admire the effect!
  • But, we aren't done, yet.  Take the small piece of White cardstock and emboss just the flower.  You will, then, need to "fussy cut" it out. I also curved the petals just a little with a bone folder.
  • Add to card base with Dimensionals.  Note: You will need to "double up" your Dimensionals in the "trenches" of the strips!
  • Stamp the sentiment in Secret Sea ink and "fussy cut" around it.  Add to one of the "popped up" strips.
  • Finish the front of the card with the new Dewdrops Embellishments.
