Floral Envelope Gatefold

Here's the other fold that I am in LOVE with at the moment!!  It was our "Mystery Stamping" project/fold from my Retreat - Creativate, last weekend! This one uses the gorgeous, new Hues of Happiness DSP!  The flowers are just awesome, and most have coordinating DIES that will cut them out for you to use!! I LOVE this feature that SU! gives to us!!  Isn't it just beautiful..and a little more thought out! Can't wait to try a few more!

Measurements:  

• Night of Navy: 4" x 10 1/2", 3" square, scrap
• Granny Apple Green: 1/4 sheet
• Hues of Happiness (N): 6" x 6" (1/4 pc of 12x12), 2 pcs @ 2 3/8" x 3 3/4" (sm print), several die cut flowers and leaves
• Basic White: 3 3/4" x 5"

To Make This Card:

• Fold 6"x 6" pc DSP in half to form a triangle.
• On the "fold" side of this triangle, make a score line at 1/2".
• Score the Night of Navy piece at 2 5/8" from each end. Fold in to make "gate fold".  Crease well. Add smaller pieces of DSP to these "gates".
• Place this piece on top of folded triangle, with the long edge matching the fold. Center on card. 
• Now, take a pencil and make a mark on either side of the "gate fold" where the triangle extends past this piece.  Remove "base" and trim with Triangle DSP scissors.
• Next, add adhesive to INSIDE of "triangle" gluing both sides together to make one piece.
• Add Tear n Tape to the 1/2" score line on the "triangle".and adhere to the back of the "gate fold" piece. Fold into place so that the point of the "triangle" follows the edges of the "gate fold". Crease well with bone folder.
• Now, add the back quarter piece to folded card.
• Cut large "flower" and 2 "leaves" from DSP.  Attach to a stitched circle cut from the New Stylish Shapes. Attach to flap where desired.
• Add White piece to inside of card.  Add die cut flower and leaves as well as a sentiment in Night of Navy Ink..
• Finally, I added an Opal Round to the center of the flower, and wrapped and tied a piece of new Woven Metallic Ribbon around the top, and tied in a bow..
• Oh, I also helped hold the flap in place with 2 clear velcro dots.

New Nature's Prints 4-Strip Clean & Simple Card

I love the layout of this card!! So, I wanted to use some of my new items to make a newer version!  For this card, I used the gorgeous, new Sun Prints DSP with its' coordinating bundle, Nature's Prints! Love the monochormatic look of this card!!  We will be doing this card at my monthly Stamp Club!

Measurements:  

• Thick Basic White: 1/2 sheet
• Basic White: 1 3/4" x 3", scraps
• Night of Navy: 1 7/8" x 3 1/8" (enter), scraps
• Sun Prints DSP (N): 2 pcs @ 1" x 3", 2 pcs @ 1" x 4 1/4", 1" x 5 1/4" (inside) -I cut 2 strips of DSP 1" x 12" and pretty much used it all

To Make This Card:

• Attach 4 - 1" DSP strips to folded Thick White card as shown.  I began at the upper Left corner and worked my way around.
• Stamp the sentiment in Navy ink onto White layer.  Attach to Navy piece, and adhere to center of card with Dimensionals.
• Stamp 3 "ferns" in Navy ink onto scraps of White.  Cut out with corresponding dies.
• Cut out several Navy Cardstock "weeds" as well.
• Arrange these die cut pieces onto card as shown.
• Finish with a little Wink of Stella on the "flower" as well as a new, 2022-2024 InColor Matte Dot.

4-strip Clean & Simple Card

Jackie Bolhuis shared this awesome layout at my virtual retreat this past weekend.  So many possibilities!! On our sharing website I found this clean and simple version using the, now retired, In Symmetry collection.  I thought this might be a possibility for my class at the Care Facility next week! What a nice way to use up those scraps!!

Measurements:  

• Night of Navy: 1/2 sheet
• In Symmetry DSP (ret): 2 pcs @ 1" x 3", 2 pcs @ 1" x 4 1/4", 1" x 5 1/4" (inside) - be mindful of directional prints
• Basic White: 1 7/8" x 3 1/8" (center), 4" x 5 1/4" (inside

To Make This Card:

• Attach 4 - 1" DSP strips to folded Navy Card as shown.  I began at the upper Left corner.
• Stamp images onto White, center piece.  Attach to card center with Dimensionals.

Envelope Gatefold

 I "attended" a virtual retreat this weekend, and it was AWESOME! So many ideas that I want to try, so stay tuned.  So far, this is the only card I have completed, and that's only because it was the Mystery Stamping project that we did together! Boy, was that fun!!  You have a set of clues that guide you through the creation of the project.  The first clue is always the supplies!  I used the NEW Hues of Happiness Bundle and the NEW InColor Orchid Oasis!!

Measurements:  

• Orchid Oasis (N): 4" x 10 1/2"
• Starry Sky (N): 1/4 sheet
• 2022-2024 InColor DSP (N): 6" x 6" (1 sheet)
• Basic White: 3 3/4" x 5"

To Make This Card:

• Fold 6"x 6" DSP in half to form a triangle.
• On the "fold" side of this triangle, make a score line at 1/2".
• Score the Orchid Oasis piece at 2 5/8" from each end. Fold in to make "gate fold".  Crease well.
• Place this piece on top of folded triangle, with the long edge matching the fold. Center on card. 
• Now, take a pencil and make a mark on either side of the "gate fold" where the triangle extends past this piece.  Remove "base" and trim with Triangle DSP scissors.
• Next, add adhesive to INSIDE of "triangle" gluing both sides together to make one piece.
• Add Tear n Tape to the 1/2" score line on the "triangle".and adhere to the back of the "gate fold" piece. Fold into place so that the point of the "triangle" follows the edges of the "gate fold". Crease well with bone folder.
• Flip the flap up out of the way. Now, take a small stamp and the same ink color or VersaMark, and randomly stamp all over the 2 "gates".
• Now, add the back quarter piece to folded card.
• Stamp a sentiment and coordinating stamp onto White piece.  Adhere to inside of card.
• Finally, decorate the front flap, which will add weight to the flap, and help keep it closed.

Ladybug Fun Fold

I totally missed this card!  I LOVE it! 

This darling Ladybug card is also a Fun Fold! This card was created by friend and fellow demonstrator Tracy Fazzio. She use the darling Hello Ladybug Bundle with the Artfully Composed DSP!  I WILL be sharing this Fun Fold, which is a variation of a "Z" Fold.

Clean & Simple Butterfly Card

This is another of the Clean & Simple cards we did at Assisted Living!  So, simple and yet so classy!  Love the Glitter Butterfly cut from the Ombre Specialty Paper mounted on a Heart & Home doily (wrong side)!

Measurements:  

• Highland Heather: 1/2 sheet
• Hand Penned DSP (ret): 4" x 5 1/4"
• Ombre Specialty Paper: 2" x 2 1/2"
• Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4"

To Make This Card:

• Attach DSP piece to folded White card.
• Add flipped over White doily to the center.
• Cut single butterfly from the Ombre Specialty Paper.  Add to center of doily with Mini Glue Dots.
• Add Highland Heather bow.
• Finish with piece of White inside, and sentiment stamped in Basic Gray.
