Snowy Branching Out

I liked this sample because of the White "snow" on the evergreens.  It was made by stamping on top of the Garden Green evergreens in our White Craft ink. Sadly, I decided to stamp off, and the White kind of disappeared! :(  So, it is very subtle.  I love the use of the "pine snowflakes" on a Garden Green background for the background DSP! Such a fun, simple card!

Measurements:

  • Crumb Cake: 1/2 sheet, 3" x 4 3/8" (label)
  • Garden Green: 1/4 sheet
  • Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4" (inside)
  • Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP (N) (OE): 4" x 5 1/4"
To Make this Card:
  • Adhere the DSP to folded Crumb Cake card.
  • Die cut 2 "labels" from the Branching Out DIes in Garden Green and Crumb Cake, as shown.
  • Stamp largest "branch" in Early Espresso ink onto Crumb Cake "label".  Add "pines" in Garden Green, and "pinecones" in Pecan Pie.  Add "snow" by stamping, again, in White Craft ink.
  • Stamp sentiment in Early Espresso ink.
  • I used the "splatter" from the You Are Remarkable stamp set and stamped all over in White Craft ink.  (I used this "splatter" because it was finer than the one in the Branching Out stamp set!)
  • Adhere the 2 "labels" together and adhere to the card front with squares of Foam Adhesive Sheet.
  • I finished the front with a double bow of Early Espresso Linen Thread, scattered Speckle Dots and Wink of Stella on the "evergreens".
  • For the inside, I first stamped the corner of the White layer, or you could add a nice 1/2" strip of the DSP.

Peace on Earth Diagonal Flip Card

I had seen this awesome card using a fold that I haven't done in quite a while, however, I have yet to try it!  One of my club gals, Deb Morris, shared it as her swap last week! So, now I don't have to!!  This card takes a square of DSP, cuts it diagonally, and flips the pieces, and then adheres them to a base! Beautiful design, beautiful card!  Enjoy!  Thanks, Deb, for sharing!

Measurements:

  • Misty Moonlight: 1/2 sheet
  • Secret Sea (N): scraps (sprigs)
  • Basic White: 2 pcs @ 4" x 5 1/4" (1 for inside), scraps (doves)
  • Foil: scrap
To Make this Card:
  • Take DSP and cut in half diagonally, keeping in mind the direction of your DSP and the direction of your cut!
  • Adhere the bottom "triangle" first onto the White layer, allowing for an 1/8" edge.  Then add the top "triangle" next. So easy and so cool!
  • The other White layer goes inside, stamping your favorite sentiment in Secret Sea ink.
  • Next, stamp sentiment in Secret Sea onto the front, as shown.
  • Now, add this to folded Misty Moonlight card.
  • Die cut one of each of the "doves" from the Peace on Earth Dies.  Also, die cut 1 each of the "sprigs" from Secret Sea cardstock.  And, one foil "enveloped".
  • Place a fold of ribbon along one diagonal edge, as shown, and add the smaller "dove" with Dimensionals,
  • Add the other, larger, "dove" above, adding the little "envelope".
  • Tuck the larger "sprig" under the bottom "dove" and the smaller "sprig" on the "dove" as well!
  • Finish with scattered gems of your choice.

Peace of Earth Easel Card

My gals were commenting that they hadn't done an easel card in a long time, so I kept my eyes out for one using current products. I love having some guidance from my customers!  This easel card uses the wonderful Everyday Arches dies along with the Peaceful Garden DSP, and the Peace on Earth dies!  I love how it turned out! I'm planning on sharing this one with my Senior ladies, and my stampers here at home!

Measurements:

  • Secret Sea (N): 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE, 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" (arch), scraps (dove, tag)
  • Basic White: 3 3/8" x 4" (inside)
  • Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper (N): scraps (lt green)
  • Peaceful Garden DSP (N): 2 pcs @ 2 1/2" x 4" (fronts), 1 3/8" x 3 3/4" (banner) (leaves); 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" (Cloud Cover Watercolor), 2 1/4" x 3 1/2" (White Watercolor) 1 3/4" x 2 1/4" (Cloud Cover Watercolor Diagonal)
To Make this Card:
  • Score the Secret Sea card base @ 2 3/4". Crease well making a "mountain" fold.
  • Add 2 DSP pieces to the 2 sections of the front.
  • Die cut the 3rd from the largest arch from Secret Sea, 4th from the largest arch from the Cloud Cover DSP, and the White Watercolor DSP from the 4th from the smallest arch.  Adhere together.
  • Die cut large "sprig" from light green Glimmer paper, as well as 2 small "sprigs".  I flipped one over so that they went both directions, for the inside!
  • Adhere the large "sprig" to the center of the White arch.
  • Die cut the larger "dove" from Secret Sea.  Shape with bone folder, if desired, add on top of "sprig".
  • Now, take the arches and add to lower half of "easel" front. Make sure that you only adhere the bottom half!
  • Die cut large "banner" from Stylish Shapes Dies from DSP scrap. Adhere to the inside of card about 1/2" from the cut edge.
  • I used the smaller labels from the Unbounded Love Dies for the Tag Easel. The base I cut in Secret Sea, and the "inside" from the "diagonal" DSP.
  • Stamp sentiment in Secret Sea and adhere to tag "base. Then add to "banner" with Dimensionals.
  • Next, stamp desired sentiment onto White inside layer, making sure you have the 4" for the width! Then add inside card.  This is where I added the small Glimmer "sprigs".
  • Finish the outside with scattered Secret Sea Flat Pearls
