Peace on Earth Diagonal Flip Card

I had seen this awesome card using a fold that I haven't done in quite a while, however, I have yet to try it!  One of my club gals, Deb Morris, shared it as her swap last week! So, now I don't have to!!  This card takes a square of DSP, cuts it diagonally, and flips the pieces, and then adheres them to a base! Beautiful design, beautiful card!  Enjoy!  Thanks, Deb, for sharing!

Measurements:

  • Misty Moonlight: 1/2 sheet
  • Secret Sea (N): scraps (sprigs)
  • Basic White: 2 pcs @ 4" x 5 1/4" (1 for inside), scraps (doves)
  • Foil: scrap
To Make this Card:
  • Take DSP and cut in half diagonally, keeping in mind the direction of your DSP and the direction of your cut!
  • Adhere the bottom "triangle" first onto the White layer, allowing for an 1/8" edge.  Then add the top "triangle" next. So easy and so cool!
  • The other White layer goes inside, stamping your favorite sentiment in Secret Sea ink.
  • Next, stamp sentiment in Secret Sea onto the front, as shown.
  • Now, add this to folded Misty Moonlight card.
  • Die cut one of each of the "doves" from the Peace on Earth Dies.  Also, die cut 1 each of the "sprigs" from Secret Sea cardstock.  And, one foil "enveloped".
  • Place a fold of ribbon along one diagonal edge, as shown, and add the smaller "dove" with Dimensionals,
  • Add the other, larger, "dove" above, adding the little "envelope".
  • Tuck the larger "sprig" under the bottom "dove" and the smaller "sprig" on the "dove" as well!
  • Finish with scattered gems of your choice.
