Snowy Branching Out

I liked this sample because of the White "snow" on the evergreens.  It was made by stamping on top of the Garden Green evergreens in our White Craft ink. Sadly, I decided to stamp off, and the White kind of disappeared! :(  So, it is very subtle.  I love the use of the "pine snowflakes" on a Garden Green background for the background DSP! Such a fun, simple card!

Measurements:

  • Crumb Cake: 1/2 sheet, 3" x 4 3/8" (label)
  • Garden Green: 1/4 sheet
  • Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4" (inside)
  • Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP (N) (OE): 4" x 5 1/4"
To Make this Card:
  • Adhere the DSP to folded Crumb Cake card.
  • Die cut 2 "labels" from the Branching Out DIes in Garden Green and Crumb Cake, as shown.
  • Stamp largest "branch" in Early Espresso ink onto Crumb Cake "label".  Add "pines" in Garden Green, and "pinecones" in Pecan Pie.  Add "snow" by stamping, again, in White Craft ink.
  • Stamp sentiment in Early Espresso ink.
  • I used the "splatter" from the You Are Remarkable stamp set and stamped all over in White Craft ink.  (I used this "splatter" because it was finer than the one in the Branching Out stamp set!)
  • Adhere the 2 "labels" together and adhere to the card front with squares of Foam Adhesive Sheet.
  • I finished the front with a double bow of Early Espresso Linen Thread, scattered Speckle Dots and Wink of Stella on the "evergreens".
  • For the inside, I first stamped the corner of the White layer, or you could add a nice 1/2" strip of the DSP.
