2-Tone Peaceful Earth

I saw a version of this card in a different color combination (Lost Lagoon & Pretty Peacock), but decided to try it in shades (thanks to 2-Tone cardstock) of Misty Moonlight!  I love the 2-Tone cardstock with Embossing Folders, and the Peaceful Greenery is particularly stunning, and oh so versatile! I used the dark side of 2-Tone Misty Moonlight for the sanded embossing folder, and a layer of the flip side (lighter side) before I added it to the Misty Moonlight cardstock base!

Measurements:

  • Misty Moonlight: 1/2 sheet
  • 2-Tone Misty Moonlight: 4" x 5 1/4" (dark side), 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" (light side), 2 1/4" x 4" "label" - light side, scraps (sprigs)
  • Basic White 4" x 5 1/4" (inside) 2" x 3 3/4" (label), scrap (dove, sprigs)
To Make This Card:
  • Emboss dark side of 2-Tone Misty Moonlight cardstock with Peaceful Greenery EF. Sand 'til achieve the desired look.
  • Adhere the lighter side of 2-Tone Misty Moonlight cardstock to the folded Misty Moonlight card base.  Then add the embossed layer.
  • Die cut larger "label" with the lighter side up. Also die cut the smaller "label" in White.
  • Die cut several Misty Moonlight "sprigs" in both shades of cardstock, also a couple in White.
  • Die cut the "stars" in 2-Tone as well.
  • Die cut the full "dove" in White. I added a little shading with a Blender Pen and Gray Granite ink.
  • Stamp sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink.
  • Adhere 2 "labels" together and adhere to card front with Dimensionals.
  • Flip and flop Misty Moonlight "sprigs" with the White until desired look.  I did have to trim some to suit my needs, but ended up using both ends!
  • Add the "dove" and "star" as shown.
  • Finish inside with White layer.
  • Finish the front with scattered Blue Flowers.
