Becky's Stampin' Studio: Traditions of Christmas Diagonal Tuck Card

Here is another Diagonal Tuck design by Lisa Curcio. I ran with her idea, but chose different papers, and fussy cut an image from the DSP, instead of stamping the image! It's really quite festive and so easy to do! I also grabbed a square of Old Olive foiled DSP from the Gathering Together DSP in the Online Store. (I've done this before, too!)

Measurements:

Real Red: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
Basic White: 3 1/2" square (inside, cut diagonally), scrap (bottom sentiment)
Traditions of Christmas DSP (N)(MC): 1 1/4" x 4" (red poinsettia)(bottom) 4" x 5" (Old Olive Plaid); Fussy Cut Image
Gatherings Together DSP (N)(OE): 3 3/4" square (Old Olive Foil Stripe)

To Make this Card:

Score Real Red base @ 1 1/2" - 6 3/4". Cut "top" diagonally as shown in the above template.
Fold "diagonal cut" in a "mountain" fold, and the bottom in a "valley" fold. The point of the "diagonal cut" will tuck into the bottom!
Next, decorate the "top, diagonal" layer. For this one, I diagonally cut the Old Olive Stripe DSP, and adhered it to the top flap.
Then, I "fussy cut" an image from the Traditions of Christmas DSP, and adhered it along the diagonal cut.
Adhere the Red "poinsettia" strip to bottom flap.
Stamp sentiment in Real Red ink onto scrap of White. Die cut with shape from the Traditional Labels Dies. Set aside.
Next, adhere Old Olive Plaid piece to the inside, with the top edge near the top fold.
Take the 3 1/2" White square and cut diagonally. This will go inside the card for your message.
Stamp desired sentiment in Real Red ink. Adhere to inside, as shown.
Now, close front of card. Lightly mark the bottom tip of the diagonally with a pencil.
Open up and place narrow Tear n Tape onto the left INSIDE edge of the bottom, and the INSIDE edge on the right side, up to Pencil mark. (You still need to be able to tuck this in!). Remove backing and adhere. Check to make sure that your card will "close".
Next, adhere a fold of Gold Striped Ribbon to the bottom flap. Center the sentiment over the top with Dimensionals.
Finish with scattered Traditional Sparkle Sequins in Gold and Old Olive.
