Oh, my, this gorgeous card took me a while to figure out, but was well worth it, don't you think! And, again, it wasn't all that difficult to do so. The tricky part, was getting it to fit into an standard envelope! It utilizes that gorgeous tree arch from the Delicate Forest Dies, the creamy Vanilla color, with a touch of Petal Pink. Love the use of the new Everyday Details circle die for the sentiment!
Measurements:
- Very Vanilla: 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" sheet (base), 3 1/2" x 8 1/2" (step), 1/4 sheet (die cut), scrap
- Forever Love DSP (N): 3 1/4" x 5 1/4
To Make This Card:
- Score "base" along 8 1/2" side at 1" - 2" - 5 1/4". Accordion fold as shown. Crease well with bone folder.
- If desired, die cut "border" strip from the Everyday Details Dies, on front of "base".
- Next, take the "step" strip and score along the 8 1/2" at 5 1/2". Crease well.
- Attach the DSP to the longer panel.
- To attach to "base". flip the "step" over and place Tear Tape at both ends of the piece, (wrong sides).
- Attach the bottom, front first. Remove the tape backing, center the piece on the "step", line up with the bottom, cut edge, and adhere.
- To adhere the back, fold the card "base" into position, turn the entire card over, remove the backing from the remaining Tear Tape, and fold and adhere the back into position. Voila, the main part of the card is completed!
- Die cut the "tree arch" from the Delicate Forest Dies in the center of the 1/4 sheet of Very Vanilla. Remove all the pieces, and push out all the dimensional leaves.
- Attach this to the card with Foam Adhesive Strips, along the bottom (I used 2 layers), and at the very top, only, creating some nice dimension!
- Now, die cut smaller circle from the Everyday Details Dies, stamp desired sentiment in Petal Pink ink, and attach to center of "arch" with Dimensionals.
- Finish with Petal Pink knot, and scattered Champagne Rhinestones.
