Pastel Nest Book Binder Card

There really are so many possibilities with this bundle! I saw this pastel version and fell in love! But, I also LOVE the black with it as well!  The cool thing about these dies, is the "dots" are on both sides of the cut.  You either have a cool label with dots, or you have a cool "frame" with dots.  For this one, you have a "frame!  The DSP is a SAB Freebie - Sunny Days, still available this month, while supplies last! Note the neat "border" die on the piece inside!

Measurements:

  • Basic Black: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
  • Basic White:2 pcs @ 4" square, 1" x 4"
  • Sunny Days DSP (SAB)(N): 3 7/8" square, 7/8" x 3 7/8", 1/2" x 3 7/8"
To Make This Card:

  • Fold Basic Black card in half. Score the front flap 1 1/4" from fold.  Crease well.
  • Next, attach "binding" area to card with Tear n Tape.
  • Attach the DSP strip to the White strip. Do not adhere to card just yet.
  • Now, take the ribbon and wrap around and tie in a bow.
  • Now, you can attach this piece to the card, so that the card opens from the top, as shown.
  • Next, take the DSP and cut a circle from the Everyday Details Dies, so that the "nest" will fit inside.
  • Temporarily attach the DSP to one what 4" square.
  • I used my Stamparatus to stamp this one! Place the square in the Stamparatus. Figure out where the nest needs to go. Attach stamp to swinging door, remove the DSP, and now stamp the next in black.  Voila!
  • Remove White piece from Stamparatus, adhere DSP and this step is done!
  • Next, I colored the "eggs" in the next to match the DSP - in Petal Pink!
  • Now, you can attach this piece to the card front.
  • For the inside, attach the other 4" square inside.
  • Run the DSP strip through one of the short borders and then attach inside, too.
  • Finish with scattered Champagne Rhinestones.
  • Note: This card would make a darling baby card, or, brightly color the eggs for Easter!
