I wanted to create a stepped up card using the layout of the card I did at the Senior Center Yesterday. I have previously used a similar layout in a trifold design. So, I modified that, and came up with this version! This one also uses the Beautiful Bokeh DSP, the Arched Wishes stamps, Everyday Arches Dies, but I added a touch of color using the retired Lighter Than Air DSP and Rainbow Dots. I am pleased with the results!
Measurements:
- Basic White: 1/2 sheet, 2 pcs @ 2 7/8" x 4 1/8" (arches)
- Balmy Blue: 3 1/8" x 4 1/2" (arch)
- Beautiful Bokeh DSP: 4" x 5 1/4" (Balmy Blue)
- Lighter than Air DSP (ret): 2" x 4 1/4", 1/2" x 2 5/8"
To Make This Card:
- Adhere Balmy Blue Bokeh DSP to folded White card, making sure to add adhesive to the center area, too.
- Die cut front, through both layers, with the 3 1/4" (width) Arch Die.
- Now, take the arch you just removed and adhere it, through the opening, to the inside of the card.
- Die cut 2 smaller arches from the White pieces. (use the arch that fits the cardstock piece).
- Die cut the next larger arch die and cut one arch from the Balmy Blue cardstock.
- Stamp the "cupcake" and sentiment onto one White arch.
- Color in with any Blends as desired. The stripe DSP gives you many options. Add Wink of Stella to the "frosting" of the "cupcake".
- Mount colored "cupcake" to the Balmy Blue arch.
- Next, attach the stripe DSP to the outside, front edges.
- Then, add the assembled arch to the DSP strip.
- To finish the inside, center the inside White arch back Bokeh arch. Add strip of DSP.
- Finish with scattered Rainbow Dots, and small Balmy Blue Bow.
