I was looking for a clean and simple card for my Senior Center class this month, and found this layout! I grabbed the retired Bloom Impressions DSP from SAB, the dies and stamps from the Sketched Butterfly Bundle (still available), and a retired Basics Embossing Folder, to create this card. Please to note, I frequently use up my retired products for these classes! But, you should already have them, too, or at least something that will work!
Measurements:
- Daffodil Delight: 1/2 sheet, scraps (for die cut butterflies)
- Basic White: 2 pcs @ 4" x 5 1/4" (one for the inside), 2 5/8" square
- Calypso Coral: 2 7/8" square
- Bloom Impressions DSP: 2 pcs @ 2 3/8" square, 1/2" x 4"
To Make This Card:
- Run one of the White layers through an Embossing Folder. Attach to folded Daffodil Delight card base.
- Attach the 2 DSP pieces to the corners of the card, as shown.
- Stamp sentiment in Calypso Coral ink onto White square. Add White square to Calypso Coral Square, and attach to card base with Dimensionals.
- Die cut single "detail" butterfly from scrap of Daffodil Delight, along with the center butterfly from the trio of detailed butterflies. You will have to do a little trimming on this one.
- Add a little additional color with Calypso Coral ink, and small Blending Brush. Attach to White square with Mini Glue Dots.
- Finish inside of card with remaining White layer, and the DSP strip.
- Finish the outside, with Faceted Iridescent Gems, and Neutral Sequins.
