I have recently received several of these "Fold Back" cards. I decided to make one into a book mark card! I love how it turned out!! We actually did this card at my monthly Care Center class. It's absolutely gorgeous in person, but then how can you go wrong with the Expressions in Ink DSP!

  • Score front at 2 1/8".
  • Now, cut front flap from the center fold to this pencil mark.  Toss this piece.
  • Fold back the front flap.  Crease all well.
  • Attach DSP "quarter" to inside of card.
  • Place 1/4" Tear n Tape along inside card flap.  Remove backing and fold onto card inside.
  • Take each piece of DSP for the bookmark "pocket" and cut a diagonal to match your card. Attach to "pocket".
  • Next, attach 1/8" Tear n Tape along inside of "pocket". Remove back and adhere together.

Let's Set Sail Barn Door Card

Here's another card from our Demo meeting last month.  It uses our new Sailboat Builder Punch (which I don't have) in a Fun Fold! It also uses our Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder, which I forget to use!!

This is a fun Barn Door fold shared by our hostess, and downline, Christy Kimball.  She used the Sailboat Builder Punch, Let's Set Sail stamp set, and the Paradise Palms Bundle all in the current Mini Catalog. Thanks for sharing, Christy!

Bookmark Cards

So, here is another card from our Demonstrator gathering!  I'm sharing card ideas using stamps and bundles that I either don't have, yet, or have not shared ideas with you, yet! I JUST got this stamp set, so I wanted to share it with you, so you have some early inspiration!!

These cards were made/designed by my friend, and fellow demonstrator, Carmen Miyoshi!  The first sample uses the Simply Marbelous SAB DSP with the delightful Flowering Rain Boots stamps from the Mini Catalog. (I just order this! Love it!!)

This sample she made for our Stamp Club Swap, and uses the Limited Edition All Together Collection with our new Gingham Embossing Folder in the new mini catalog.

I need to get the directions from her and try it myself.  I made the "boots" card, but she had all the pieces cut out!  I just had to put it together.  I DO know the base is 12x12!!  Stay tuned.  We'll be making this one, for sure!

Amazing Silhouettes

So, while I'm visiting in Florida this week, I'm sharing some cards from some very talented fellow demonstrators. We recently had a gathering of local demonstrators, where we swapped and made some awesome cards! So, I am sharing those with you!  It gives me, and you, the opportunity to see some other stamp sets, color combinations, and layouts!  Oh, how I LOVE sharing!

This card was made by fellow demonstrator Kay Watson.  She used the Amazing Silhouettes stamp set from the new Mini Catalog with the awesome Stitched Greenery die from the Annual Catalog.

Another "Love It, Chop It" DSP Card

Hi, all!  I made it to sunny Florida, where the weather is just marvelous!!  Great flights, and I'm ready to kick back and relax a bit.  But, stay tuned, I DO have some inspiration here to share with you!!!  Later!

Here is another "Love It, Chop It" card I made for the Care Center. I REALLY didn't want to chop up this retired DSP, I had enough (and then some) to make this gorgeous card.  So, go through your stash of pretty papers that you didn't want to use, and at lease use a few strips.  I bet you still have enough to hang on to! Such a neat layout and LOVE the colors and layered labels!

Measurements:

  • Pool Party: 1/2 sheet, scrap
  • Petal Pink: scrap
  • Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", 1 1/2" strip
  • Parisian Blossoms DSP (ret): 2 pcs @ 1 7/8" x 5"
To Make This Card:

  • Attach White layer to folded Pool Party card.
  • Adhere 2 pieces of gorgeous DSP on top, evenly spacing the pieces.
  • Layer dies from the Stitched So Sweetly dies, in coordinating colors.
  • Stamp sentiment in Black onto scrap of white.  Cut out with one of the stitched scalloped dies.
  • Layer all together in a pleasing combination.  I raised the sentiment with Dimensionals.
  • Finish with knot of retired, coordinating ribbon.
