Playing in the Rain Z Fold Slit Card

Stamp Club member, and fellow demonstrator, Carmen Miyoshi, designed and shared this awesome card at our meeting this month.  I have never done this fold before.  Isn't it neat!!     She made her card using the new Playing in the Rain Bundle and Rain or Shine DSP! Both products are just darling! Stay tuned!  I plan on doing a video, soon! Thanks for sharing, Carmen!

Stamped, Punched Heart

The heart on this card is SO unique.  It took me a minute or two to figure it out. It's first 2--step stamped on a piece of White cardstock, and then punched out with the coordinating punch.  Just adorable!

Measurements:

  • Thick Basic White: 1/2 sheet
  • Basic White: 2 3/4" x 4", scrap
  • Country Floral Lane DSP (N): 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
To Make this Card:
  • Die cut Blue DSP piece with large scalloped die from the Scalloped Contour Dies.
  • Attach to folded White card.
  • Stamp "greenery" in Mint Macaron onto scrap of White. I used the Stamparatus for this!  Then stamp the "flowers" in Polished Pink. Note: this is a shaded stamp, so all images will not stamp the same strength.
  • Decide which part of the stamped image you want to show on your card front. Then, line up the punch, and punch it out.  Too cool, huh!
  • Die cut medium stitched scallop from the Scalloped Contour Dies.
  • Stamp sentiment on the lower part of this die.
  • Attach "heart", where desired, with Dimensionals.
  • Stamp the 2 "solid" hearts in Polished Pink.
  • Finish with scattered InColor gems.

Elegant Flowers

I just love this FREE, SAB DSP - Favored Flowers!  In preparing for my upcoming class, I was wanting to make a classy card using this DSP that could be used for many occasions. I love how this turned out.  The picture, especially with the Silver foil, doesn't do it justice! You'll just have to give it a try!

Measurements:

  • Fresh Freesia: 1/2 sheet
  • Favored Flowers (N)(SAB): 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Basic Black: 2 5/8" x 3 3/8"
  • Silver Foil: 3" x 3 3/4", 4" x 5"
To Make This Card:
  • Attach DSP to folded Fresh Freesia card.
  • Die cut the "ripple" die from the smaller Silver Foil piece. Die cut the larger, detail die from the larger Silver Foil piece.  Note: I used the middle tone of the Silver Foil which kind of looks like Pewter.
  • Die cut the center, black piece from the "ripple" die.  You will use the center piece, and save the "frame" for another project.
  • Attach the "ripple" foil  piece to the center of the card front.  Attach the "detail" foil piece on top of this piece.  It will overlap just a tad.
  • Eboss desired greeting in Silver Embossing powder onto Black oval.  Attach to center of "frames".
  • Finish with Fresh Freesia Open Weave bow, and scattered Freesia Gems.
