Country Bouquet Center Z Fold Slit Card

I totally forgot I had created this card!! I'm calling it a Center Z Fold Slit Card! I've seen Z Fold Slit Cards, but I wanted this in the center!  I used the Country Floral Lane DSP and the Country Bouquet stamp set to make this card...still in time for Valentine's Day!  I hope to do a video soon! Stay tuned.

Measurements:

  • Mossy Meadow: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" (extension)
  • Basic White: 2 5/8" square, 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Petal Pink: 2 3/4" square
  • Country Floral Lane (N): 3 pcs @ 1 7/8" x 5 1/4", 1 pc 1 7/8" x 3 3/4"
To Make This Card:

  • Begin by cutting slits in the "main" piece. Place cardstock into trimmer with the short side along the ruler @ 1 1/8". Push the blade in @ 2 1/8" and cut slit to 6 3/8". Slide piece over to opposide side and repeat. The slits are done!
  • Now, to make the score lines! Turn cardstock 90 degrees, place cut edge at 2 1/8" and score from top edge to cut edge on top, and then score from bottom edge up to cut edge.
  • The 2nd score line is @ 4 1/4" and you'll score the entire card!
  • The last score line is @ 6 3/8". Score, again, from top edge to cut edge on top, and then score from bottom edge up to cut edge.
  • Make accordion folds as shown, creating "pop out" in the center.
  • However, this is not, yet, a full card!  Take the remaining piece of Mossy Meadow & score along long edge at 1/4". Attach this to the cut card front with Tear n Tape, extending the card! Adhere White piece to this extension.
  • Now it's time to decorate!!
  • Attach one long piece of DSP to "front".
  • Take one long piece and cut it into 4 - 1" pieces. You'll have 1 1/4" left over. Toss this piece. Attach the 1" pieces to the corresponding areas on the card.
  • Now, attach the last long DSP piece to the next section, as shown.
  • Add coordinating piece of DSP to one panel as shown.
  • Next, stamp the "heart"!  This is a 2-step image.  I used my Stamparatus to do this!  I stamped the "leaves"  first, in Mint Macaron and then the "flowers" in Petal Pink. Add sentiment in Mossy Meadow.
  • Now, attach this to Petal Pink layer, then add to card with Dimensionals as shown.
  • Stamp inside piece, as shown, so that it is hidden behind the Center Panel.
  • Fold into place, and fInish with Pastel Sequins

I just love the Country Floral Lane DSP.  There are so many ways to use it! I saw a version of this card, and put my own twist on it! This design could be used for many occasions.

Stamped, Punched Heart

The heart on this card is SO unique.  It took me a minute or two to figure it out. It's first 2--step stamped on a piece of White cardstock, and then punched out with the coordinating punch.  Just adorable!

Measurements:

  • Thick Basic White: 1/2 sheet
  • Basic White: 2 3/4" x 4", scrap
  • Country Floral Lane DSP (N): 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
To Make this Card:
  • Die cut Blue DSP piece with large scalloped die from the Scalloped Contour Dies.
  • Attach to folded White card.
  • Stamp "greenery" in Mint Macaron onto scrap of White. I used the Stamparatus for this!  Then stamp the "flowers" in Polished Pink. Note: this is a shaded stamp, so all images will not stamp the same strength.
  • Decide which part of the stamped image you want to show on your card front. Then, line up the punch, and punch it out.  Too cool, huh!
  • Die cut medium stitched scallop from the Scalloped Contour Dies.
  • Stamp sentiment on the lower part of this die.
  • Attach "heart", where desired, with Dimensionals.
  • Stamp the 2 "solid" hearts in Polished Pink.
  • Finish with scattered InColor gems.
