Tri-Fold Around the Bend

This Tri Fold Version was designed by LeeAnn Greff.  She created her tri-fold a little smaller, so she could mount it onto a colored base!  It works as the base is all one color! Love how the largest flower is used to help keep the top flap down. And, of course it uses the gorgeous Around the Bend dies!!  Love them!!

Measurements:

  • Basic White: 5 1/2" x 11", scrap
  • Soft Succulent: 1/4 sheet, scraps
  • Evening Evergreen: 2 3/4" x 5 1/2"
  • Blushing Bride: scraps
To Make This Card:

  • Score White base at 4" - 8".  Crease well.
  • Next, lay the "Scalloped, Curvy" die onto bottom of top flap of "White base".. Tape "Stitched, Curvy" die above with Washi Tape, and cut both dies out of the paper together. Note: the scalloped edge will cut separately from the stitched die, and the stitched die does NOT cut the upper edge.
  • Attach Evergreen piece to the wrong side of the top flap. Attach narrow, scallop piece to the Evergreen piece below the curve.
  • Next, trim off the remaining Evergreen piece, following the curve of the scallop piece. You can toss this piece!
  • Now, you can attach the "base" to the Soft Succulent layer, with the outside edges even, and about 1/8" showing top and bottom.
  • Stamp sentiment above die cut holes in Evening Evergreen.
  • Die cut 1 large flower and piece with 3 small flowers from Blushing Bride.
  • Die cut 2 small sprigs and the solid, medium leaf from Soft Succulent.
  • Die cut 1 flower center from scrap of White.
  • Assemble largest flower with medium leaf and flower center.  Close card, and attach flower to bottom section with Dimensionals, holding down upper flap.
  • Add remaining flowers and small leaves to card front, as shown.
  • Finish by stamping "border" on inside, in Evergreen ink, and stamping smaller "leaves" along side. Oh, and don't forget your message in Evergreen on the inside, too!

Wisteria Wishes Split Lattice Card

I had been seeing several of these Split Lattice Cards, that look like a trellis, fence, or lattice!  I could envision this using the Wisteria dies from the Annual Catalog! Instead of using ink and a Blending Brush to create the ombre colors of the flowers, I used the blue/purple shades from the Fancy Flora DSP for these flowers! So much easier and less labor intensive!

Measurements:

  • Thick Basic White: 1/2 sheet cut lengthwise, scrap
  • Fancy Flora DSP (N): approx 3" x 6" - your choice of colors!
  • 2021-2023 Incolor Paper Pack: 3 3/8" x 4 1/4" - Fresh Freesia
  • Pear Pizzazz: 1/4 sheet
To Make this Card:

  • Fold Thick White card base in half.  Trim from the front of card: 5 - 1/2" strups, and 2 - 3/8" strips. This should leave a 2 1/4" front flap!
  • To create "lattice" begin by taping your front with Washi or Painters Tape as shown above. Then, *I* started at the bottom, and adhered the 5 - 1/2" pieces to the Tape. Leave in place.
  • Now, take the 2 - 3/8" strips. Using Mulitpurpose Glue and place small dots of glue onto the 1/2" strips and flap.  Carefully adhere strips to hold cross pieces in place.  Allow glue to dry!
  • While that is drying, die cut 2 "wisteria" using the colors of your choice from the DSP.  You will need 2 of the larger and 2 of the smaller pieces.
  • Also, die cut 2 larger "branches" from the Pear Pizzazz cardstock.  Highlight the "veins" with a Small Blending Brush and Pear Pizzazz ink.
  • Also, cut 2 "vines" from Pear Pizzazz.  Add a little shading with Blending Brush & ink.
  • Now, let's build our card!  Carefully remove the Tape supporting the "lattice".
  • Attach the 2 "vines" to the "supports".
  • Next, assemble your 2 "wisteria" and add them where desired. Then, add "branches" cutting them apart so the go where you want them!
  • I took one of the "branch" STAMPS and lightly stamped in Pear Pizzazz onto scrap of white.  I stamped the sentiment in full Pear Pizzazz and cut out with a label die.
  • Add to card where desired.
  • Finish by adding a little colored DSP to inside. Lining the edges up with the bottom and scattering some Iridescent Pearls.
  • Oh, and a small, double Parakeet Party metallic ribbon.

Faux Side Step Playing in the Rain

This bundle just makes me happy!  It's so cheerful!  You know I love Fun Folds and this one is so fun and easy to do.  I carefully chopped up the border from the Rain or Shine DSP to make this card, utilizing the different areas of that border DSP. Add the awesome of the beautiful Balmy Blue varigated ribbon and some sparkly dots, and you have a quick, cute card!

  • Basic White:2 3/4" x 5 1/4" (inside)

To Make This Card:
  • Score Balmy Blue piece along 8" side at 3" - 6" - 7".  Accordion fold as shown. Crease well.
  • Attach 7/8" x 5 1/4" DSP "daisy" piece to "bottom". Skip an area, and attach larger piece - middle daisies/sky -  to the next area.
  • Now, take the Blue 3" x 6" piece (step) and score along 6" side at 4 1/4". Crease well. Attach "sky" DSP to the front of this piece.
  • Turn this over and add Tear & Tape to the lower back edge of both the top and the bottom. (you are on the wrong side)
  • Remove the Tear & Tape covering on the lower end "step" piece, placing it even with the lower edge.
  • Remove the other covering, fold the card with all creases in place, and attach to the back of card.
  • Next, die cut "bunny" from DSP.  Attach to "step" with Dimensionals.
  • To finish the card, place the White piece inside and attach the 3/8" strip to the bottom.
