Leave it to TX Sharon to come up with a quick way to make die cut images "glassy". I usually use Crystal Effects (Fine Tip Glue), but then you have to wait FOREVER for it to dry, and then it's not always even. Well, for the glass on this soda card, she used everyday PACKING TAPE!! Stamp your image onto your cardstock, add the tape and then die cut it out, and voila, you have awesome glass - or anything shiny - I did the cherry, too! Also, love the upside down ice cream for the soda "foam"!! Too cute, tons of fun!!
Measurements:
- Sweet Sorbet : 1/2 sheet
- Basic White: 2 pcs @ 4" x 5 1/4" (one for inside, one for outside), scraps
- Country Gingham (N): 2" x 4" (Sweet Sorbet)
To Make This Card:
- Attach Sorbet Gingham to bottom of one trimmed quarter piece. Punch all 4 corners with Very Best Trio Punch (carried over). Attach this piece to folded Sweet Sorbet card.
- Stamp off "soda glass" in Sweet Sorbet. Stamp detail, full strength, over. Stamp cherry in Sweet Sorbet.
- Place Packing Tape onto these 2 stamped images, and die cut.
- Stamp "foam" (largest "ice cream scoop") in stamped off Sweet Sorbet. Stamp smaller scoop in Early Espresso, and "straw" in Tahitian Tide. Die cut all with corresponding dies.
- Attach "glass" to card.
- Tuck straw into the cut opening in the "foam", and add "ice cream scoop". Attach over "glass" with Dimensionals.
- Then, add "cherry" with a Dimensional, too.
- Finish with sentiment stamped in Sweet Sorbet and scattered Opaque Gems.
