I saw a version of this card and decided to try it using this fun fold that I hadn't done in a while! I called it a "Double the Fun" card, as it combines a Book Binding card with a Z Fold. I just LOVE this Wildflower Birthday DSP. It combines a variety of colors with a touch of gold foil! AND, it has 2 sheets of gorgeous die cuts!! It's really difficult to see all the colors and details in the mini catalog, your really need to see this one IRL!!
Measurements:
- Pool Party: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE, 3 1/4" x 4 1/4"
- Basic White: 2 1/2" x 4 3/4" (label); 2 1/4" x 4 1/8" (inside), scrap
- Wildflower Birthday DSP (N): 1" x 4 1/8" (Gold Scallops), 1 3/4" x 4 1/8" (Pink Check), 3" x 4 1/8" (Birthday Cakes print)
To Make This Card:
- Fold Pool Party card base in half. Score front at 2 1/8" - 4 1/4". Crease well, creating a "book binding" fold and a "Z" fold.
- Place Tear n Tape on the 1 1/4" area, near crease. Press together creating a Book Binding Fun Fold.
- Attach the 1" Gold Scallop piece to the "binding" part of the card as shown. (Left side)
- Attach the Pink Check to the inside, near the cut edge, as shown. Add the White piece, inside, right next 2 this DSP.
- Next, take the other Pool Party panel and attach Birthday Cake Print DSP.
- Attach panel to front "Z" flap, with Tear n Tape, centering between DSP strips.
- Stamp "wishing" from the Delightful Wishes Stamp Set in Memento Black ink onto piece of White. Die cut with 2nd to largest die from the Nested Essentials Dies, so the sentiment fits. Set aside.
- Stamp other sentiment in Summer Splash ink. Die cut with label die in the Delightful Wishes Dies. Attach to Label with Mini Dimensionals.
- Center "label" to front panel and adhere.
- Stamp sentiment inside on Summer Splash Ink.B
- Finish with Pool Party ribbon knot on the label, and scattered Party Dots.
