Basket of Daffodils #1

I'm b-a-c-k from vacation, so time to get ready for club! I'm still trying to figure out our last project, so I'm continuing to play with the Easter Basket Bundle. This sample uses the awesome Woven Textures DSP for the die cut basket, which is a neat effect. The basket is, then, filled with 2-color daffodils. Such a nice, springy card!

Measurements:

  • Early Espresso: 1/2 sheet
  • Very Vanilla: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" (arch)
  • Old Olive: scraps
  • Daffodil Delight: scraps
  • Peach Pie: scraps
  • Easter Joy DSP (N): 4" x 5 1/4" (Crumb Cake Print)
  • Woven Textures DSP: 3" x 4"
To Make This Card:

  • Adhere the Crumb Cake DSP to folded Early Espresso card base. This is a coated specialty paper, so be sure to use a strong adhesive.
  • Die cut arch from Everyday Arches dies in Very Vanilla cardstock. Adhere to card base, as shown.
  • Die cut "basket" from Woven Textures DSP.
  • Die cut "grass" and 5 "stems" from Old Olive cardstock.
  • Die cut 3 Peach Pie "daffodils" and 2 Daffodil Delight "daffodils". (and one extra center).
  • Adhere "grass" to the bottom of the basket.
  • Adhere the contrasting flower "centers" to the flowers with Mini Glue Dots.
  • Next, adhere 3 "stems" to the inside of the basket, and then attach to the "arch" on the card front.
  • Before adding the flowers, adhere the remaining 2 stems, as shown.
  • Now, you can add the flowers, with Mini Glue Dots.
  • To finish card, add a double Linen bow to the basket, Streaked Dots to the corners of the base, and scatter a few yellow dots from the Easter Assortment.
