Lovely & Beautiful Simple Card

I originally thought that this layout would make a great card for my Senior Center gals.  However, after *I* assembled this gorgeous, simple-looking card, I decided that there was too much lining up for them to accomplish. The original idea was ...Petal Pink, but I found a decorative DSP that was not pink, and, I thought was really pretty, to create my version. Don't get me wrong, I do love the layout, just not for my senior gals! So, go look through your awesome DSP scraps, find a classy embossing folder and create many versions of this layout!  So many possibilities and occasions.

Measurements:

  • Old Olive: 1/2 sheet
  • Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", scrap
  • Fresh Freesia: 2 1/2" x 3 3/4"
  • Lovely & Beautiful DSP (OE): 1 1/8" x 3 3/4" (small print)
To Make This Card:

  • Adhere White layer to folded Old Olive card base.
  • Emboss Fresh Freesia piece with Damask Designs Embossing Folder. Cut this piece into 2 pieces, by removing 5/8", leaving 1 7/8". You will be using both pieces!
  • I started by adhering the 5/8" strip first, then the DSP, then the final piece of Embossing Fresh Freesia cardstock. I used Multipurpose Glue to help move the strips into place, with equal spacing.
  • Stamp sentiment in Old Olive on scrap of White. Die cut with banner from Stylish Shapes dies.
  • Make loops of Gold cord and adhere to card front. Add banner over the top with Dimensionals.
  • Finish with Fresh Freesia Rainbow Dots.
