Macrame Hanger

This sample uses all stamped images from the Plentiful Plants stamp set, on a neat "frame" from the Hippo & Friends dies (you must have these label dies, they're awesome!} This is one of the cards we will be making in class this month!

Measurements:

  • Cinnamon Cider: 1/2 sheet, 2 1/2" x 4"
  • Basic White: scraps
  • Crumb Cake: 1 1/2" x 3 1/2"
  • Bloom Where You Are Planted DSP (N): 4" x 5 1/4" (planks)
To Make This Card

  • Take the smallest of the 3 dies from the Hippo & Friends dies, and cut a "label" from the center of the DSP. Set this "label" aside.  Attach the remaining layer to the folded Cinnamon Cider card.
  • Cut a medium "label" from Cinnamon Cider cardstock.  Attach the DSP "label" to this, and then attach to card front over opening.  Pretty clever, huh!  AND, the pattern will line up!!  Too cool!
  • Stamp one "plant" in Evening Evergreen & the same "plant" from Just Jade onto scraps of White.  Cut out with corresponding die.
  • Stamp "pot" in Cajun Craze ink onto scrap of white.  Cut this out, too, with corresponding die.
  • Cut out "macrame hanger" from Crumb Cake.
  • Assemble the plant pieces into "macrame hanger" as shown.  Attach to "label".
  • Stamp sentiment in Cinnamon Cider onto scrap of White. Punch out with Lovely Labels Pick a Punch, I then trimmed it a little narrower, with snips, to fit. Attach to card.
  • Finish with Gilded Gems on the sentiment, and hanger. And a bow of Cinnamon Cider ribbon.
