Today is THE day!! You can finally order from the NEW "Holiday" Catalog, AND earn SAB rewards!!! Let's kick off the holiday season with these darling Pengins!! I've paired it with some new black glitter paper, velveteen paper, and the FREE SAB paper, Peaceful Prints! Inspiration thanks to Jeneane Webster.
Measurements:
- Real Red: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
- Basic White: 2 1/2" x 4", 2 1/2" square, 2 pcs @ 2 3/4" x 3 1/2" (for penguins, inside), scraps
- Basic Black: 3" x 3 3/4"
- Peaceful Prints (N) (SAB): 2 1/4" x 3 3/4", 2 1/4" square
- Black Glitter Paper (N): 2 " x 2 3/4"
- Mango Melody: scrap
- Red Velveteen (N): scrap
To Make This Card:
- Fold Real Red card in half. Remove 2 3/4" from front of card. You will not need this piece this time.
- Attach the White piece to the front, and then the corresponding DSP.
- Stamp sentiment in Real Red at bottom of piece for the "penguins". Randomly stamp "snowflakes" in Real Red on upper portion of this piece. Attach to Black layer.
- Punch out 2 "penguins" in Black Glitter paper. Punch out 2 "tummies" in Whisper White. Attach to "body" with Tear & Tape.
- Stamp "eyes" in Black and "beak" in Mango Melody.
- Punch out 2 "feet" from Mango Melody. Add to "penguins" with MIni Glue Dots.
- Attach "penguins" to White piece, above sentiment.
- Add Red Velveteen "bow", and add Black Glitter "bow" as well. Add rehinestone for the "knot".
- To make the "necklace", punch the accent piece from Glitter Black, then punch a narrow piece, again, from the top area! Really neat.
- Add half this piece to the front flap. Add the White piece underneath.
- Finish by cutting the White square in half diagonally. Attach to upper corner of card with 1/8" Tear & Tape. Repeat with DSP, and attach triangle on top of white!!
- Note: the "bows" are from the retired Gingerbread Boy Punch!
