Playing this weekend with NEW stamps from the "Holiday" catalog. My first purchases were "non holiday" stamps, as I wasn't, and still am not, ready for Holiday stamping, yet! (I have since added a few!) So today's creation uses the versatile Sweets & Treats stamp set. So many fun possibilities here! I adapted a card I saw that uses the Beautifully Penned SAB DSP, colored with blends to match the fun Shaker Shapes from the Annual Catalog. Give this one a try!
Measurements:
- Granny Apple Green: 1/2 sheet
- Polished Pink (N): 3 5/8" x 4 5/8"
- Beautifully Penned DSP (N) SAB: 4" x 5 1/4"
- Basic White: 3 3/8" x 4 3/8", scrap
- Daffodil Delight: scrap
To Make This Card:
- Fold Granny Apple Green in half.
- Lay Polished Pink layer on top of uncolored DSP. Check to see how much of the DSP will actually be showing, and decide on a pattern of color and just color around the out 1/4" - 3/8" edge. (why waste your time and ink coloring the entire thing???} Attach to folded Granny Apple Green card.
- Stamp "cloche" in Memento Black ink at slightly upper center of Basic White piece. Stamp "stand" below.
- Cut out this "dome" and set aside
- Color "stand" with Cinnamon Cider Blends.
- Stamp "cupcake" on removed "dome" piece. Color with coordinating Blends as shown.
- Lay the White piece with the opening onto Poilished Pink layer, leaving a nice 1/8" border all around. Glue "dome" piece, through the opening. Remove the White layer.
- Now, attach "shaker dome" to White piece by removing covering on adhesive on right side of "shaker dome".
- Add small "pile" of shaker pieces on top of "cupcake".
- Add adhesive to back of White layer, remove rest of covering on tape (back of "shaker dome" and carefully attach to card front, enclosing shaker pieces under dome.
- Attach this piece to front of card with Dimensionals.
- Tie a bow in Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon. Attach to dome with Mini Glue Dot.
- Stamp sentiment in Polished Pink ink onto a scrap of Basic White. Cut around, as desired. Then mount onto Daffodil Delight scrap. Attach to dome with Mini Glue Dot.
