I've had this fun bundle since last November!! It just didn't seem like "fruit season"! Well, thankfully, it carried over into the new Annual Catalog, and it IS now "fruit season". So many possibilites with this set! Oranges, limes, lemons, grapefruit, someone at OnStage even shared a coconut! It is a hybrid folder/die, which is just awesome and adds so much detail! We will be making this one in class this week!
Measurements:
- Parakeet Party: 1/2 sheet, 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"
- Basic White: 1/4 sheet (fruit), 2" x 4" (front), 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" (inside), scraps
- 2022-2024 InColor Paper Pack (ret): 2" x 5 1/4"
To Make This Card:
- Fold Parakeet Party card base in half. Then, fold the front, again, back on itself, creating a "Z" fold.
- Attach the DSP strip to the front flap.
- Die cut the 2nd from the largest scallop rectangle from the Scalloped Contour Dies from Parakeet party AND Basic White. Set aside.
- Stamp outsides of "fruit" in Granny Apple Green onto quarter White. Stamp insides in Parakeet Party.
- Place "fruit" dies into Hybrid Embossing folder. Line up stamped fruit, close embossing folder, and run through the Embossing Machine.
- Stamp one set of "leaves" in Granny Apple Green on scrap of White. Also stamp "flowers" in Flirty Flamingo. Cut out with corresponding dies.
- Arrange "fruit" pieces onto White, front layer. Add top layer with Dimensionals.
- Add "leaves" behind, and "flowers" with Dimensionals. Add flower centers with Lemon Lolly Blend.
- Stamp sentiment in Basic Gray.
- Attach White piece to Parakeet layer, then attach to card flap. Make sure you only add adhesive to the LEFT side of layer.
- Line up inside White layer to outside Parakeet one. Adhere to inside of card.
- If desired, add extra "lime" and stamped "flowers" in Flirty Flamingo and sentiment in Basic Gray.
- Finish front with scattered Parakeet Party Ombre dots.
