Becky's Stampin' Studio: Floral Charm Explosion/Book Binder Card

"What goes around, comes around!", such is the case of this unique card fold combination! I did explosion cards, or "squash" book/cards, years ago. And, Book Binder cards a little more recently than that. This card is so neat, because it combines my favorite Book Binder fold, with a fun "Squash/Explosion" inside! This one uses the gorgeous, new Floral Charm DSP in the Online Store. It's paired with the awesome Label Me Grateful stamps in the Online Store as well. The inside fold is just a 6"x 6" piece of DSP, so both 12" x 12" and 6" x 6" papers work perfectly (stay tuned to one using the Beautiful Gallery 6" x 6" DSP!!) You've gotta give this one a try!

Measurements:

Blackberry Bliss: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
Floral Charm (N) (OE): 4" square, 6" square (explosion), 1" x 4" (Berry Floral)
Very Vanilla: 1 3/8" x 3 3/4"

To Make This Card:

Score Blackberry Bliss card base, at 4 1/4" - 5 1/2", creating a "Book Binder" fold card! Crease well.
Adhere 1" strip DSP to "binding" area.
Wrap ribbon around "binding" area, and adhere to the wrong side.
Now, you can place Tear n Tape onto the the "binding", and adhere to inside card.
Next, you can tie the "knot" of the ribbon.
Adhere square DSP to card front.
Now, now for the "explosion" inside. If you've ever done these, it will come right back to you. If you haven't, have fun! It will stick with you!
Take the 6" square and fold in half, in both directions. Score well with a Bone Folder. Then, flip over and fold diagonally, but only on one diagonal. Crease well.
Flip back over and pinch these to areas to the inside, making a 3" square. And, tada, you are done!
Place adhesive on the "back" side, and place inside card at a diagonal, so all point touch an edge. Then place adhesive on the "front" side and close front into place!
Now, try your "masterpiece"!
To finish the inside, I stamped directly onto the DSP in Memento Black, but the sample I saw added Vanilla squares to those to areas, but I found them overbearing.
For the outside, I stamped the sentiment in Black onto a scrap of Very Vanilla, and die cut it with a "banner" from the Stylish Shapes dies.
Adhere to the front of the card with Dimensionals.
To finish the outside, I just added some Brass Butterflies to the label.
