I was looking for an "inspiring" idea using the new Prairie Grass stamp set in the Online Store. I came across this sample created by one of my downline, Susie Wood. Isn't it great!? I love the ombre "sun" behind the "grass"! And, it's so easy to do! It's been paired with 2 new InColors (now on sale), Cloud Cover and Secret Sea! Did you notice the "sparkly" splatter? It's Wink of Stella!
Measurements:
- Cloud Cover (N): 1/2 sheet
- Secret Sea (N): 3 1/4" x 5 1/4", 1" x 4" (label)
- Basic White: 3" x 5" (focal point), 3 3/4" x 5" (inside), 3/4" x 3 1/2" (label), 3" square (template for "sun")
- Florals in Bloom DSP (N): 2 1/4" x 5 1/4" (Cloud Cover stripe)
To Make This Card:
- Score card base @ 1 3/4" - 4 1/4". Accordion Fold, creating a "Z" fold. Crease well.
- Adhere strip DSP to front, near fold. Set base aside.
- Now, stamp largest "grass" onto White "focal point". I stamped mine in Memento Black, but I stamped everything else in Secret Sea, so I would probably try that for the "grass" as well.
- Take the 3" of White, and punch a 2" circle in the center.
- Center over focal point, where desired, and burnish Timid Tiger and Crushed Curry into opening with Small Blending Brushes.
- Flick some Wink of Stella over the "sun" with the "template" still in place. Remove template.
- Adhere White piece onto Secret Sea layer. Then, add to front flap of "Z" fold. Centering over all.
- Next, stamp sentiment in Secret Sea onto label. Adhere to Secret Sea label, then "flag" the left side.
- Adhere to card, over "grass" with Dimensionals.
- For the inside White piece, stamp sentiment in Secret Sea ink, as well as one of the other "grasses".
- Finish the front with a knot of Secret Sea ribbon, and a Secret Sea flat pearl.
