Peaceful Pier Back Fold Card

This month in Stamp Club, we are exploring the Peaceful Pier stamp set in the Annual Catalog. We will be making one card, with the pier, that I previously made, but I also wanted to do something using the little boy fishing, and the awesome fish! So, here is a "Becky Original" using 2 different DSP packs, a great, easy Fun Fold, and the cute little boy!  The coloring was done with our Watercolor Pencils, for a softer look!

Measurements:

  • Gray Granite: 1/2 sheet, 3 1/4" square (circle), 1 3/8" x 3 1/4"
  • Beautiful Gallery DSP (N): 3" x 5 1/4" (Gray Ombre)
  • Timeless Plaid DSP: 7/8" x 5 1/4" (Gray Granite Plaid)
  • Basic Beige: 3" x 5 1/4" (inside) 3" square (circle)
To Make This Card:

  • Fold Gray Granite card base in half.  Trim 1" from front of card.  Also score back of card at 1".  Fold back, and then return into place.
  • Attach Gray Ombre DSP to front flap, and Gray Plaid to the creased, right flap.
  • Cut largest Stitched Circle from the Gray Granite square. Set aside
  • Stamp "little boy" onto square of Basic Beige.  Die cut with "Radiating Circle" from the Spotlight on Nature Dies.
  • Add "grass" to the bottom of the stamped circle.
  • Burnish "sky" in Balmy Blue, and "grass" in Granny Apple Green ink with Blending Brushes.
  • Color image with Watercolor Pencils.  "Watercolor" with Aqua Painter, if desired.
  • Adhere circle to Gray Granite layer.
  • Next, place circle onto card front where desired.  Overlapping on to right side.  Attach to 1" flap with Tear n Tape.
  • Die cut "banner" from Stylish Shapes dies.  Stamp sentiment onto "banner" in black ink.
  • Place onto card to determine where to cut the top of the "banner".  Trim.  Wrap Neutral Bakers Twine around the top, and attach to card with Dimensionals.
  • Next, take the inside Basic Beige piece and stamp "fish" in the upper corner. Color with Watercolor Pencils, and adhere to inside of card.
  • Finish with scattered Neutral Matte Dots.
