Tractor & Co. Cut & Flip Card

This little tractor set is particularly perfect for those of us in the Midwest!  I like it because it has a variety of seasons I can use it for!  And, you can either ink it up, or cut it out! This sample I die cut, again thinking maybe for my Senior Center class....nope, too many little pieces for them, but I got along just fine, and it is just so cute!  This sample uses Garden Green and Darling Ducking. (You know I live in John Deere country!)  It's a classic cut and flip card, that is just perfect for the little tractor, just as it is!  Great for guys of all ages!

Measurements:

  • Garden Green: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE, scraps
  • Painterly Pears DSP (OE): 2 1/2" x 4" (Darling Duckling check)
  • Regals DSP paper pack: 2 1/2" x 4" (Garden Green print)
  • Darling Duckling (N): 4" x 5 1/4", scraps
  • Basic White: 2 3/4" x 4 1/4" (inside)
  • Basic Black: scraps
To Make This Card:
  • Fold Garden Green base in half.  Cut the front in half @ 2 3/4".  Keep this piece for the layer!
  • Adhere Darling Duckling DSP to this piece.  Set aside.
  • Also adhere Garden Green DSP to front flap.
  • For the tractor, die cut the "main" truck and 2 "fenders" in Garden Green. Die cut the "steering wheel" and 2 "wheels" in Darling Duckling, and die cut "seat" and 2 "tires" from Basic Black.  Assemble together on Silicone Sheet with Multipurpose Glue.  Then adhere, crosswise, to cut piece.
  • Attach this piece to front flap with Dimensionals.
  • For the inside, attach Darling Duckling layer to inside, then adhere White piece behind top layer, so it is not visible when you close the card.
  • Finish with scattered Low Profile Sparkle Dots.
  • Adhere DSP to folded Cloud Cover card base.
  • Next, take White layer, and stamp "grass" from Prairie Grass stamp set 2x each inking, onto bottom of this piece. I used Garden Green ink.
  • Create the background on this piece, by burnishing Crumb Cake near the bottom and Cloud Cover on top with Blending Brushes. Adhere to the Pecan Pie layer.  Set aside.
  • Now for the fish.  On a scrap of White stamp 2 "curved" fish and 2 "straight" fish in Memento Black ink.  Color with Blends in colors listed below.  (I call this "messy" coloring as you don't want any straight edges just a lot of color.  It kind of looks like c
