I saw this awesome card that paired 2 of my favorite products from the new mini catalog - the Woodland Scenery stamp set and the Lights of Aurora DSP! The little cabin in the Woodland Scenery stamp set nests perfectly in the Light and Wonder Dies (from the aurora bundle)! What also caught my eye, was the fact that the trees are Blackberry Bliss (neat huh) and Silver! Just awesome!! The images are also stamped in Blackberry Bliss! Some have to be fussy cut and some are stamped directly into the "snow". Such a neat card!
Measurements:
- Balmy Blue: 1/2 sheet
- Lights of Aurora DSP (N) (MC): 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
- Blackberry Bliss: 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
- Silver Foil: 4 1/8" x 3 1/2"
- Basic White: 4 1/8" x 5 3/8", scraps
To Make this Card:
- Adhere DSP to folded Balmy Blue card base.
- Die cut "taller" trees from Blackberry Bliss piece. Adhere to card front, so tree tops just miss the top of the DSP layer.
- Next, die cut the "shorter" trees from Light and Wonder dies, in Silver Foil - centering the "dip" in the die (for the cabin). Fit and trim, if necessary. Adhere to front.
- Stamp "cabin", "smoke", and "wood" in Blackberry Bliss onto scrap of White. Fussy cut with Paper Snips!
- Die cut "hills" from piece of White. I cut them from each end of White piece, fit it as desired, and trimmed the bottom.
- If desired, line up "cabin" in opening of 1st layer of White. And stamp "sketches" of snow.. Adhere snow, and then adhere "cabin" with Dimensionals.
- Next, line up next layer of snow, so that you can add the sled with the "wood" and the "deer". Adhere this piece.
- I finished with Wink of Stella all over and new, Clear Faceted Snowflakes from the Online Exclusives.
