I just love this jar as "snow globe"! We are doing this card at my Senior Center class, so I frequently try to use up retired items. This one is no different. I am using the retired Marbled Elegance DSP from last years' SAB offerings, as well as the retired Brushed Gold Foil paper. It's a nice way to use them up! We DO have current items that would work as well! And, this would work for so many occasions!
Measurements:
- Crumb Cake 1/2 sheet
- Brushed Gold (ret): 4" x 5 1/4", scraps
- Marbled Elegance DSP (ret); 2" x 5 1/8"
- Basic White: 3 3/4" x 5 1/8" (front), 4" x 5 1/4" (inside), 2" strip
- Real Red: 2 3/8" sq
To Make this Card:
- I cut a "frame" in the Brushed Gold layer. Adhere to folded Crumb Cake card base.
- Emboss White layer with Soft Waves Embossing Folder. Attach to card front over Gold layer.
- Next, adhere DSP to left side.
- Now, stamp 2 jars in black ink onto strip of White. Add "snowman", scarf, and "snowflakes". Then, punch out with corresponding punch.
- Also, punch "lids" from Gold Foil. Adhere to jars.
- Then, add to card as shown.
- Die cut fancy circle from Real Red cardstock. Stamp sentiment of your choice in Memento Black.
- Place between "jars" as shown.
- Adhere White insert to inside. Stamp "snowman" in lower corner. I also add rest of stamped images.
- Finish front with Peppermints.
