Pretty Peacock & Gold A Child is Born

I've been playing with the A Child is Born stamp set in the mini catalog, preparing for my Monthly Club Meeting this Saturday! So, no surprise, my next few projects will be from that set, so we can explore it more fully together!  It is just perfect when paired with the Everyday Arches!  I also like the simplicity of just embossing it in Gold (or Silver, or White, or whatever).  For this one, I also used the gorgeous Regal Distressed Patterns DSP in the Annual Catalog.  Love how it turned out! (You really need to see this one in person!)

Measurements:

  • Pretty Peacock: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE, 3 5/8" x 4 3/4", scrap
  • Very Vanilla: 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Gold Foil: 4 3/4" x 5", scrap
  • Regal Distressed Patterns DSP: 4" x 5 1/4"
To Make This Card:
  • Emboss the "Holy Family" in gold onto smaller piece of Pretty Peacock. I used the Stamparatus to evenly stamp the image. Cut out with the 3rd from the largest Everyday Arches.
  • Adhere this to a Gold Foil arch cut from the 2nd from the largest Everyday Arches.
  • Next, adhere DSP to folded Pretty Peacock card base.
  • Now, adhere arches to the front with squares of the Dimensional Sheet.
  • Emboss sentiment onto scrap of Pretty Peacock, and cut out with label die from the retired Something Fancy Dies.
  • Cut a strip of Gold Foil that is 5/8" wide.  Mount the label onto the strip, and then trim both ends to match the angled die cut.  Then, attach to front of card, as shown.
  • Adhere Very Vanilla layer to inside.
  • Finish with Drusy Gems.
