Unique Fold using Delicate Dreams DSP

I found this unique fold on a reel from the Totally Traced website.  It's really interesting and easy to do (once I figured out the measurements)! And, of course, the DSP is just stunning! (And, not available, again!) I created this card for my aunt for her birthday.  Happy Birthday, Marcia!

Measurements:

  • Secret Sea: 1/4 sheet, 3 3/8" x 9 1/4", scrap
  • Delicate Dreams DSP (OE): 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" (bronze arches), 4 3/8" x 5 1/4" (bronze sprigs); 3 1/4" x 4 3/8" (floral - top flap)
  • Basic White: 3" x 4 1/8"
To Make This Card:

  • Adhere DSP to Secret Sea 1/4 sheet base.
  • Next, take the other Secret Sea piece, and fold in half. Crease well.  Adhere the floral DSP to the top.
  • Now, take the inside DSP piece and score at 1 5/8". Crease well. Then take the other side and fold so that cut edges meet, creating a "gate fold".
  • Adhere to the inside of the folded Secret Sea layer.
  • Next, take the White layer and stamp the "sprig" in the lower left corner in Crumb Cake. I also stamped the sentiment in Secret Sea ink.
  • Now, adhere to folded DSP.
  • Take this completed Secret Sea piece and adhere to top of "post card" base.
  • Finish with small, stamped sentiment stamped in Secret Sea, and punched with the Triple Banner punch.  Layer this to a strip of Secret Sea cardstock, and add to front of card.
  • Finish with Moody Palette Dots on the front and inside.
