Layered Peaceful Pine Card

I saw this clean & simple card by Dawn Griffith and fell in love.  She actually make one in each of our new InColors which were just gorgeous! It IS "Clean & Simple" but there are multiple layers that are easily cut.  Of course, I added my own touch, adding an embossed layer of Pearlized Paper! The dies are from the Silly Old Bear Suite and are just gorgeous! One of the reasons I loved this card idea.  You really DO need to give this one a try! And, it's stunning in person! I think we may do this in class!!

Measurements:

  • Peaceful Pine (N): 1/2 sheet, 1 3/4" x 3 7/8", 2" x 3" (label)
  • Basic White: 2 pcs @ 4" x 5 1/4", 1 7/8" x 3 7/8", 1 3/4" x 2 3/8" (sm label), 2 3/8" x 3 3/8" (lg label), 3" x 3 1/4" (punched butterflies)
  • 2026-2028 Pearlized DSP (N): 1 3/4" x 3 3/4" (Peaceful Pine)
  • 2026-2028 Designer Series Paper Pack DSP (N): 2 1/4" x 3 3/4" (Peaceful Pine Dots)
To Make this Card:

  • Adhere White layer to folded Peaceful Pine card base.
  • Next, attach dot DSP to top and then solid cardstock piece.
  • Run Pearlized DSP through Lazy Daisy EF, and then adhere to corresponding White layer and attach to front of card with Dimensionals.
  • Stamp sentiment in Peaceful Pine ink onto smaller piece of White.  Die cut with Sweet Words & Labels die with the little hearts.
  • Then, die cut a "medium" die from Peaceful Pine cardstock, and the largest die from White.  Check the image for which labels I used.  There are 18 to choose from!!!
  • Layer the 3 labels together.  I used Dimensionals on the one with the sentiment.
  • Add to card front at shown.
  • Now, stamp detailed "butterflies" from the All Aflutter stamp set in Peaceful Pine ink onto piece of White. Punch out with corresponding punch.  I added a little Wink of Stella to the "butterflies".
  • Shape the "butterflies" a little and add to card with Mini Dimensionals.
  • Finish with InColor Butterflies and InColor dots.
