I'm getting my 2nd Virtual Card Class samples together. I'll be doing the Corner Flip card! This is a neat sample I found using the Daisy Punches, Ornate Garden DSP (retiring), and the Fold on the other corner!! I think it's always nice to have options!!
Measurements:
- Early Espresso: 1/2 Sheet, 1 1/4" x 3 1/2"
- Very Vanilla: quarter sheet (template), 4" x 5 1/4", 1 1/8" x 2 1/2", strips (for Daisies)
- Ornate Garden DSP:4" x 5 1/4" (daisies), scraps (olive foil - leaves)
To Make This Card: (see video)
- Begin by making the corner "template". Take the quarter sheet. Measure along the short side 2 3/4" and place a mark. Then, measure along the long side to 3 1/2" and make a mark. Draw a line with a pencil, connecting the 2 marks. Cut along this line. Save the triangle, and discard the rest of the piece. Use it for another card.
- Fold card base in half. Place "template" along upper left corner of card. Score along "pencil" line with Bone Folder. It should lightly transfer to the back side. Flip card front over and repeat for the back side. Now, carefully fold along score lines, inverting the corner to the inside of card. For this card, I put this inversion on the upper RIGHT!
- Take the trimmed Vanilla and lay inside the card, leaving an 1/8" border. Mark the score line and trim this piece. Trim approx 1/8" from the cut edge. Check for fit. Attach this piece.
- To layer the outside. Repeat with the DSP piece. Using the scored/folded edge as a guide to cut the DSP. Again, trim 1/8" from the cut edge. Adhere to front of card.
- Take the DSP "triangle" and place inside card as shown.
- Front is decorated with Early Espresso Ornate frame with Vanilla insert.
- I also punched Vanilla cardstock for one double large, and 3 double medium Daisies. (one goes inside).
- The Flower centers are the new Gilded Gems.
- You can also choose place DSP on the upper, inside flap of card. Your choice!!
