Finally got my taxes organized and ready to go, so time for some stampin' fun! They say April showers bring May flowers. This set is a really nice one, with a coordinating punch, that will be retiring soon. The fold is an oldie, but goodie, but is making it's way back!! It's called a Book Fold. The cardstock is cut lengthwise. It's scored 1 1/4" from the fold and is attached together. Just the front square opens.
Measurements:
- Bumblebee: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
- Old Olive: 4" square, 1" x 4" strip
- Basic White:3" square
- Mint Macaron: 3 1/4" square
- Ornate Garden DSP: scraps
To Make This Card:
- Fold Bumblebee card base in half. Score at 1 1/4" from fold, front side only. Crease the front back well. Place adhesive under this 1 1/4" and glue front and back together.
- Run both Old Olive pieces through TastefulTextures EF. Attach to card.
- Cut scallop square from Mint Macaron. Cut smooth square from Basic White. Glue together.
- Stamp "umbrella" and "boots" onto DSP. Punch out "umbrella" and fussy cut "boots".
- Lay "umbrella" onto layered squares. Mark where umbrella "handle" needs to go. Stamp "handle" in black. Now attach "umbrella" and "boots" to squares with Dimensionals.
- Stamp sentiment in black. Attach layered squares to card front with Dimensionals.
- Make a "notch" at either end of 1 1/4" area. Slip ribbon into notches, wrap around card, and tie in a bow.
- Finish by scattering some yellow sequins.
