Double Layer Book Fold

I loved making the Book Fold so much, I grabbed another retiring stamp set, Beautiful Friendship, and made one with it, too! Same fold, different look.  Instead of a "Triple Layer" card, this is a "Double Layer" card!. Give it a try!!

Measurements:

  • Seaside Spray: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
  • Misty Moonlight: 4" square, 3" square (to die cut)
  • Basic White:3 3/4" square, scraps
To Make This Card:

  • Fold Seaside Spray card base in half.  Score at 1 1/4" from fold, front side only.  Crease the front back well. Place adhesive under this 1 1/4" and glue front and back together.
  • Attach Hydrangea DSP to 1" area of card. Also attach Misty Moonlight square as well.
  • Stamp "hydrangea" in Seaside Spray onto lower left corner of White square. Cut square from center of this piece. Then, mount onto cut, larger square from Misty Moonlight.
  • Stamp sentiment in Misty Moonlight.
  • Attach this smaller square piece to front of card, over opening, matching stamped design as much as possible.
  • Stamp 3 smaller "flowers" in Highland Heather onto scrap of White.. Color the "stems" in Mint Macaron.  Stamp smaller "leaves" in Mint Macaron onto Basic White. Fussy cut all these images.  Add Wink of Stella to the "flowers".
  • Arrange these onto card front, starting with Largest flower popped up on a Dimensional. The rest of the "flowers" and 'leaves" are attached flat.
  • Finish with scattered Blue Sequins.
