I LOVE to give you options for Fun Folds, as well as stamp sets. This is a replica of one I found using NEW Gingham DSP from the NEW Pansy Petals DSP as well as the returning Timeless Tulips. So perfect for right now! I also used one of our lovely, NEW incolors - Fresh Freesia.
Measurements:
- Fresh Freezia (N): 1/2 Sheet, 2 3/4" x 3 3/4"
- Basic White: 2 pcs - 4" x 5 1/4" (1 is template), 2 3/4" x 3 3/4" (oval), scraps
- Pansy Petals DSP (N): 4" x 5 1/4"
To Make This Card: (see video)
- Begin by making the corner "template". Take one of the Basic White pieces. Measure along the short side 1 7/8" and place a mark. Then, measure along the long side to 2 1/2" and make a mark. Draw a line with a pencil, connecting the 2 marks. Cut along this line. Save the triangle, and discard the rest of the piece. Use it for another card.
- Fold card base in half. Place "template" along upper left corner of card. Score along "pencil" line with Bone Folder. It should lightly transfer to the back side. Flip card front over and repeat for the back side. THEN, REPEAT for the other corner. Now, carefully fold along score lines, inverting the corners to the inside of card.
- Take the other Basic White piece, and lay inside the card, leaving an 1/8" border. Mark the score line on both sides and trim this piece.Trim approx 1/8" from the cut edge. Check for fit.
- To layer the outside. Repeat with the Gingham piece. Using the scored/folded edges as a guide to cut your layer. Always allowing for an 1/8" border!! Save the corner pieces for the inside.
- To decorate the front, cut a larged stitched oval in Basic White. Stamp 3 "tulips" in Fresh Freezia ink. Add stems and leaves in Granny Apple Green. Attach to large scallop oval cut in Fresh Freezia. Adhere to front of card.
- Stamp onto trimmed Basic White inside piece with the smallest tulip in Fresh Freezia and Gorgeous Grape. Add stems and leaves in Granny Apple Green. Attach to inside of card.
- Add Gingham "corners" to inside corners. Trim, if necessary, to fit with 1/8" showing.
- Stamp small and medium "tulips" in Fresh Freezia and Gorgeous Grape ink onto scrap of Basic White. Also stamp several "leaves". Fussy cut these out to be used on the corners, as shown.
- Finish the front with a bow of new Fresh Freezia ribbon and a few new InColor Rhinestones.
