Cut Out Wave Alternate + Video

These 2 cards use the same technique...adhering the Die Cut Wave to the Waves of the Ocean DSP and cutting around it, then mounting to your card! The first one is a copy of one shown on the Flyer.  The other one is a "Becky Original" and uses a Glossy White "wave" and pops it on top of a panel of stamped Gentle Waves.

FLYER SAMPLE

Measurements:

  • Mint Macaron: 1/2 sheet
  • Waves of the Ocean DSP (N): 4" x 5 1/4" (Saffron & Pink), 2 5/8" strip (Cabana)
  • Blue Foils (N): 2 5/8" strip (Coastal Cabana)
  • Adhesive Sheet: 2 5/8" x 12"
  • Basic White: scraps
To Make This Card:
  • Attach DSP to folded Mint Macaron card.
  • Adhere Adhesive Sheet to back of Coastal Cabana Foil piece.
  • Die cut out "wave" of your choice.  Remove backing from "wave" and attach to Cabana DSP.  Note: I like to place it in one corner, so I only have to cut around 1 side!
  • Cut around Foil. Note: If you look closely at the sample on the Wave Promotion Flyer, they did not cut right up to the foil, but left about 1/4" all the way around.
  • Attach "wave" to card front with Dimensionals.
  • Cut 2 large "clouds" and one small "cloud" from White cardstock.  Attach to card as shown.  The large "clouds" are attached with Dimensionals.
  • Cut "seagulls" from Coastal Cabana scraps.  Peel back from "seagulls" and add to card.
  • Finish with Coastal Cabana "Wave" Jewels.

MY SAMPLE

Measurements:

  • Night of Navy: 1/2 sheet
  • Waves of the Ocean DSP (N): 2 5/8" strip (Darker Blues)
  • Glossy White (ret): 2 5/8" strip
  • Adhesive Sheet: 2 5/8" x 12"
  • Basic White: 1/4 sheet, scraps
To Make This Card:
  • Place Gentle Waves background stamp onto Stamparatus acrylic plate. Ink up with Pacific Point ink and stamp onto White quarter sheet.  Reink and restamp if necessary!
  • Trim this piece to 4" x 5 1/4". Note: I left this piece larger, to begin with, so I had room for the magnets to hold it to the platform.
  • Attach this stamped and trimmed piece to folded Navy card.
  • Adhere Adhesive Sheet to back of Glossy White piece. I like the sheen of the Glossy for the "wave"!  Unfortunately, it is retired.  Hopefully, you have it in your "stash".
  • Die cut out "wave" of your choice.  Remove backing from "wave" and attach to Blues DSP.  Note: I like to place it in one corner, so I only have to cut around 1 side!
  • Cut around Glossy cardstock.
  • Attach "wave" to card front with Dimensionals.
  • Stamp sentiment inn Night of Navy onto scrap of White and cut out with narrow tag die, from the Waves Dies.
  • Run narrow Night of Navy ribbon through tag openings.  I tied a knot at either end.  Attach to card with Dimensionals.
  • Finish with scattered Rhinestones.
