Here is the last card that I have completed from that collection of cards by demonstrator, Gail Ellis. This sample uses the "lattice" from the Linked Together dies, butterfly from the Beautiful Butterfly dies, and the retired Stitched Rectangles, again. The popped up "lattice" is really striking in person!
Measurements:
- Basic White: 1/2 sheet, 3 3/8" x 4 5/8" (embossed piece), 3 1/8" x 4 3/8" (Stitched Rectangle "frame"); 3" x 4 1/4" (lattice), scrap (butterfly & flowers)
- Pretty Peacock: scrap (branch)
- Lost Lagoon: scrap (sprig)
- Everyday Happiness DSP: 4" x 5 1/4" (Lost Lagoon gingham), 2 5/8" x 3 3/4" (Wild Wheat print)
To Make this Card:
- Adhere Lost Lagoon Gingham piece for folded White card.
- Run next sized White layer through Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder now found in the Online Store.
- Adhere this layer over DSP.
- Next, die cut White Stitched Rectangle "frame" using 2 dies from the retired dies. Set aside.
- Now, die cut "lattice" from piece of white.
- Carefully, adhere the "lattice" behind opening of Stitched Rectangle "frame". I think I used narrow Tear n Tape, but Multipurpose Glue would work, too.
- Place foam adhesive strips around "frame" and add Wild Wheat DSP to the back.
- Now, you can add this entire piece to front of card, over the embossed piece.
- Next, die cut larger "sprig" from the Linked Together dies in Lost Lagoon, and Sprig in Pretty Peacock. Add to "frame" as shown, with Multipurpose Glue.
- Then, die cut flowers from Linked Together Dies (you will only need 2) and butterfly from the Beautiful Butterflies dies.
- Add these to frame, as shown, as well!
- Finish with popped up sentiment from the Greetings for All ephemera pack, and Iridescent Faceted Gems for the flower centers and butterfly "body".
