Scenic Mystery Stamping Card

I love our scenic DSP papers for creating quick, gorgeous cards, and our new, Beautiful Gallery doesn't disappoint! And, I have always loved this sheet from this paper pack.  It's beautiful when paired with the dies from the Sunrise Sailing bundle!  The card layout is actually a design from TX Sharon's Monday Mystery Stamping from April 28. Be sure to check it out!

Measurements:

  • Misty Moonlight: 1/4 sheet, 2 1/4" x 10 1/2"
  • Basic White: 2" x 5", scrap
  • Adhesive Sheet: scrap
  • Secret Sea (N): scraps
  • Beautiful Gallery (N): 5 1/4" x 6"
To Make this Card:
  • First, you're going to want to decide which part of your scenic DSP you are wanting to use as your "focus" on the front flap. This piece is 2".  The other 4" you will use on your quarter piece! (Each design you may choose to cut differently).  For this version, I removed 2" from the left side of the DSP. That way, I had a "clear" spot to place the "sailboat".
  • Adhere the 4" piece to the Misty Moonlight quarter.
  • Fold the 11" strip in half.  Adhere 2" DSP piece to the front of this flap. This will fit front the fold to the bottom cut edge, so it lines up with the DSP on the card base.
  • Center and adhere this piece to card base
  • Add White layer to the inside, and stamp sentiment in Misty Moonlight Ink.
  • Die cut the "sails" in White and the "mast/boat" in Secret Sea cardstock.
  • For the "seagulls", adhere adhesive sheet to wrong side of Secret Sea cardstock and die cut. (All three are on the same die, but they are so thin, the adhesive sheet works best!
  • Assemble the "sailboat" as shown, and adhere to card flap.
  • Add "seagulls" where desired.
  • Finish with scattered Holographic Resin Dots.
