Punched Bumblebee

I saw this adorable bumblebee made with the Ladybug Builder Punch and just had to try it!  The secret to the striped body...striped paper!! I'm sure you have some black and white stripe somewhere.  We currently have it with our Host Pattern Party DSP, or our new, All Together DSP! I paired it with our FREE, SAB Simply Marbelous DSP  and added some darling vellum wings! The possibilities for this little bumblebee and our new Hive 3D Embossing Folder are endless!!

Measurements:

  • Basic Black: 1/2 sheet, 2 1/2" square, scrap

  • Simply Marbleous DSP (N): 1 7/8" x 5 1/4"

To Make This Card:

  • Cut 2 1/8" from front of folded Black card.
  • Attach Bumblebee quarter to inside, and Marble DSP to front flap.
  • Run Bumblebee square through Hive 3D Embossing Folder and attach to Black square.  Attach to card, on point, as shown.
  • Punch out "body" from scrap of Black. Punch out stripe "body" from stripe. Shape neck area a little.  Color white stripes with Dark Daffodil Blend.  Attach this to black "body"
  • Punch "wings" from Vellum and attach to "bee" with a Mini Glue Dot at center of wings.  Then, lift "wings" a little to shape them.
