Continuing with Windmill cards, I copied this awesome card from Su Mohr. I was looking for a Fun Fold for Stamp Club this month, and found this one that makes awesome use of the gorgeous Flowering Fields DSP and Windmill Dies!
Measurements:
- Basic White: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE, 2 1/4" x 3" (base of windmill)
- Highland Heather: 4" x 10 1/2". 1/4 sheet
- Flowering Fields DSP (N): 3 3/4" x 5" (tulip fields), 2 3/8" x 3 3/4" (tulips-front fold)
- Basic Gray: 1/4 sheet
To Make This Card:
- Fold Basic White card in half lengthwise.
- Cut largest scalloped contour die from 1/4 of Highland Heather. Attach to inside of white card.
- Fold Highland Heather "card" in half. Then fold the front back on itself. Crease well with bone folder! Attach this to front of white card as shown, with Heather fold at the "bottom" of the card.
- Attach larger DSP to "inside", and smaller DSP to "front".
- Cut "base" of "windmill" from basic White. Cut top layer and windmill "blades", from Basic Gray (Note: I would attach an adhesive sheet to the gray piece for the "top layer". This will make it easier to attach later!
- Attach top layer of "windmill" to White base. Poke hole at top of windmill with "pokey tool" from Take Your Pick Tool. I attached the "blades" first with a Mini Glue dot, then inserted a brad through the hold. (My blades are stationary).
- Attach this to front of card.
- I finished with a sentiment from the stamp set in black.
