Flowering Tulip Mounted Double Gate Fold

We haven't done one of these Fun Folds since the holidays, so I thought it was about time to revisit it!!  I'm really pleased with this "Becky Original"!! I just LOVE the Flowering Fields DSP - you don't even need the dies or stamp set! (Althought the sentiment is from the coordinating stamps - Flowering Tulips.)

Measurements:

  • Pear Pizzazz: 4 1/4" x 11" (1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE), 1/4 piece
  • Flowering Fields DSP (N): 2 pcs @ 7/8" x 4" (green), 2 pcs @ 1 3/4" x 4" (tulips) - these are the flip sides. scrap of Pumpkin Pie print
  • Basic White: 3 1/4" x 4" (inside), scrap
  • Pumpkin Pie: 2 1/4" square
To Make this Card:

  • Score long sheet at 2" - 3 3/4" - 7 1/4" - 9". Crease well with Bone Folder creating a Double Gate Fold.
  • Mount 2 narrow DSP pieces on either side of 1/4 piece.
  • Place Tear Tape onto back of Double Gate Fold piece.  Attach to base between DSP pieces.
  • Add White piece to the inside.
  • Attach DSP pieces to outside.
  • Run the Pumpkin Pie square through the Stitched with Whimsy die that fits.
  • Stamp sentiment in Memento Black and cut out with 2nd smallest Stitched So Sweetly die.  Mount this onto the Pumpkin Pie square with Dimensionals, on point, as shown.
  • Now, mount left half of this square to left side of card.
  • Take 5" of Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon and color with Lt Pumpkin Pie Blend. Neat, huh!  It helps to start with a close color and enrich the color.  Add to card as shown with Mini Glue Dot.
  • Next, stamp inside sentiment in black.  Cut a "tulip border" from Pumpkin Pie scrap of DSP.  Add to inside of card.
  • Finish with Iridescent Rhinestones.

Simple Windmill Card

This is a gorgeously simple card, suitable for many occasions!  I just love the little bicycle, in this case in Poppy Parade with details in Classic Matte Dots!

Measurements:

  • Evening Evergreen: 1/2 sheet
  • Basic White:  2 1/4" x 3" (base of windmill), 4" x 5 1/4" (inside)
  • Flowering Fields DSP (N): 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Basic Gray: 1/4 sheet
  • Poppy Parade: scrap
To Make This Card:

  • Adhere DSP to folded Evening Evergreen card.
  • Cut "base" of "windmill" from basic White. Cut top layer and windmill "blades", from Basic Gray (Note: I would attach an adhesive sheet to the gray piece for the "top layer".  This will make it easier to attach later!)
  • Attach top layer of "windmill" to White base.  Poke hole at top of windmill with "pokey tool" from Take Your Pick Tool. I attached the "blades" first with a Mini Glue dot, then inserted a brad through the hold. (My blades are stationary).
  • Attach this to front of card.
  • Cut "bicycle" from scrap of Poppy Parade.  Attach to card near "windmill".
  • Finish with Classic Matte Dots on the bicycle. And, a White piece on the inside.

Continuing with Windmill cards, I copied this awesome card from Su Mohr. I was looking for a Fun Fold for Stamp Club this month, and found this one that makes awesome use of the gorgeous Flowering Fields DSP and Windmill Dies!

  • Fold Highland Heather "card" in half.  Then fold the front back on itself.  Crease well with bone folder! Attach this to front of white card as shown, with Heather fold at the "bottom" of the card.

Stamped Mango Tulip

There are so many possibilities with this Collection!  Yes, there ARE Tulips!  Some are 3D, but in this sample some are STAMPED!! I love the variety of colors in the DSP that guide you to make awesome color choices for your composition!  For this card, I used Mango Melody and Soft Succulent cardstock, stamped with darker, coordinating inks and then cut out with the corresponding dies!  I just LOVE it!  Don't you just love the tiny brass butterflies?

Measurements:

  • Thick Basic White: 1/2 sheet
  • Basic White: 3 3/4" x 5", scrap
  • Flowering Fields DSP (N): 1 3/4" x 3 3/4"
  • Mango Melody: 4" x 5 1/4", scrap
  • Soft Succulent: scrap
To Make This Card:

  • Attach Mango Melody layer to folded Thick Basic White card.
  • Run Basic White layer through Timber 3D Embossing Folder. Attach "tulip" DSP to this piece.  Wrap Evening Evergreen ribbon around this layer over DSP and tie in a knot.  Now, attach this piece to card front.
  • Stamp tulip "detail" in Pumpkin Pie onto scrap of Mango Melody.  Cut out with corresponding die.  Add "centers" in Evening Evergreen ink.
  • Next, stamp stem and 2 "leaves" in Evening Evergreen onto Soft Succulent cardstock.  Cut these out as well with corresponding dies.
  • Attach stem and leaves to card front where destired.  Add "flower" with Dimensionals.
  • Now, take the circle "thank you" stamp and just color in the "thank you" using the Evening Evergreen Stampin' Write Marker (not a Blend!).  Huff it, and stamp onto scrap of White.  Fussy cut around words. Attach to card with Dimensionals.
  • Finish with scattered, new Brass Butterflies!
