Let's take a break from birdhouses for the moment! I was needing a few get well cards and remembered this fun design using the awesome retired set - Back on Your Feet! Well, I ended up make 6-8 some using this retired DSP and Granny Apple Green, and some using Mossy Meadow and the current Artfully Composed DSP. I know many of you already have this fun set, so grab your Blends and have some fun!
Measurements:
- Mossy Meadow (Granny Apple Green): 1/2 sheet
- Artfully Composed (N) DSP: 2" x 5 1/4"
- Basic White: 2 pcs @ 4" x 5 1/4" - 1 you cut, one is for the inside
To Make This Card:
- Score Mossy Meadow (Granny Apple Green) base at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4". Lightly crease.
- Make a pencil mark 2" from bottom of outside edge.
- Now, cut front flap from the center fold to this pencil mark. Toss this piece.
- Fold back the front flap. Crease all well.
- Attach DSP "quarter" to inside of card.
- Take the other quarter and measure up 1 3/4" from bottom outside edge. Cut from this pencil mark to upper left point. Toss this piece.
- Next, take this piece and measure over 1 7/8" or 2" and cut. This will be the front diagonal layer. Then measure over another 2" and make another cut. This will be the inside diagonal layer. toss any remaining, if any.
- Fold the card into place. Stamp the "sloth" on the inside, upper right corner. Stamp sentiment, inside behind fold.
- Next, stamp "turtle" onto front "flap". Add sentiment.
- Now, stamp "giraffe" onto inside "flap". Add sentiment.
- Now you can color all with Blends as desired! I added "ground" in Granny Apple Green.
- Finish by trimming DSP into appropriate angle. I just marked the lower right edge, allowing for 1/8" to show, and cut to point!
