Still working on sharing Garden Birdhouse cards!! I spotted a version of this card using a piece from the retired Bloom Where You are Planted DSP that I hadn't used! They made it into a "Spanner" card, with a window sheet "span", but Mom & I felt that it hid too much of the DSP. So, we just glued down the outside edges, and lifted the center. Necessity creates new designs!
Measurements:
- Shaded Spruce: 1/2 sheet
- Bloom Where You Are Planted (ret): 4" x 5 1/4", scrap
- Basic White: 2 pcs @ 1 1/8" x 4 1/8", 2 pcs 2 7/8" x 4 1/8", scraps
To Make this Card:
- Fold Shaded Spruce card. Cut from either side of front 1 1/4" in and up to crease.
- Attach White pieces to front as shown. Then, cut DSP into pieces, cutting from left to right, 1" - 2 3/4" - 1". Toss the scrap. Adhere to coordinating areas.
- Adhere side pieces to back of card.
- Stamp one-each of the 3 birdhouses onto scraps of White. Color as desired using Crumb Cake and Mint Macaron. Cut out with Paper Snips.
- Stamp "birdhouse" stand onto side pieces. Attach 2 "birdhouses" over "stands" with Stampin' Dimensionals.
- "Hang" one birdhouse in the center panel.
- Stamp "grass" in Shaded Spruce along bottom of DSP. You could do this before you adhere them to the corresponding panels, or just make sure you mask the bottom.
- Also stamp the "grass" on the inside White piece. Adhere inside. Attach a scrap of DSP, if desired. Finish with scattered Brushed Brass Butterflies.
