Sending Smiles Bridge Card

Bridge Cards are so fun and easy to do!  I saw this one in our new InColors using our new bundle Sending Smiles! The new InColors are just stunning.  This is Orchid Oasis (prob my new fav)!  Card fold, new to me, DSP on the "inside walls" of the fold!!  You're never to old to learn something new!

Measurements:

  • Orchid Oasis: 4 1/4" x 8 1/4", 1 1/4" x 5 1/2" strip, 1 1/2" x 4" (sending)
  • Basic White: 2 pcs @ 2 5/8" x 4 1/8", 1 1/2" x 4" (sending), scraps
  • 2022-2024 In Color DSP (N): 4 pcs @ 1 1/4" x 4 1/8", 1" x 5 1/4", scrap
To Make This Card:

  • Score the 4 1/4" x 8 1/4" piece at 1 3/8" - 2 3/4". Turn and repeat at the other end.
  • Crease well with a bone folder creating an "accordion" fold.  Adhere 2 DSP strips to front panels and 2 DSP strips to the "inside" of the accordion folds..  Set aside.
  • Stamp 2 "daisies" in Orchid Oasis, centers in Daffodil Delight, and "single" stem in Parakeet Party.  Cut out with corresponding dies.  Set aside.
  • Cut "sending" from Orchid Oasis and "backing" from Basic White.  Glue together with Multipurpose Glue and set aside.
  • Now, take one White piece and stamp sentiment of your choice in Orchid Oasis near the top.
  • Deside where your flower will be, and stamp  "single" stem directly to cardstock in Parakeet Party.  Add flower with Dimensionals.  Attach to inside.
  • Next, add DSP to long Orchid strip.  Attach strip to card front with Tear n Tape, by lining up cut edge of outside pieces to outside edge of strip.
  • Add flower stem to left side, then attach flower (I attached mine flat)
  • Attach "sending" to "bridge" as shown.
  • Lastly, add White piece to back so you can write your message.  I added a scrap of DSP, and a stamped off cluster of flowers for decoration.
  • Finish with Wink of Stella in flower centers and scattered, new Matt InColor Dots.
