Two Clean & Simple Slimline Hues of Happiness Cards

Looking for a quick, stunning slimline card?  Well, this one is it!  It is so fast and fun to make!  I used the gray wood tones from the soon to be retired Heart & Home DSP with the die cut flowers from the new, gorgeous Hues of Happiness DSP.  Different colored flowers along with different patterns and layers, create 2 completely different cards.  I paired them with the sentiments from the fun Biggest Wish stamp set and Voila!! My Mom designed one, and I designed the other, using our own personal tastes and color preferences.  Can you tell who designed which one??

Measurements:

  • Base (White or Smokey Slate): 7" x 8 1/2"
  • Heart & Home DSP: 3 1/4" x 8 1/4" (Smokey Slate base), 3" x 8" (White base)
  • Basic Gray: 3 1/4" x 8 1/4"
To Make This Card
  • Score Basic White Base at 3 1/2". Fold in half. Crease well.
  • Emboss Parakeet Party piece with Hive 3D embossing folder.  You will need to line it up and emboss, twice.  Attach to folded White base.
  • Stamp and cut out a variety of "flowers" in Fresh Freesia and Highland Heather, as well as one or two "stems" in Parakeet Party.  The centers are Daffodil Delight.
  • Stamp "sending" in Fresh Freesia and cut out with larger die.  Set aside.
  • Now, just start arranging all onto card in a pleasing manner.  You need to stamp some of the flowers/stems directly onto the card layer and pop up several with Dimensionals.  I started on the left side and worked over to the right, adding the "sending" with Dimensionals fairly soon.
  • I decided it needed a little "filler" , so stamped off the little "sprig" in Fresh Freesia.
  • Finish with Brushed Brass Butterflies.
