Double Arch Mixed Florals

I thought that this was a creative way to use the Everyday Arches (that is until we got a shorter, fat oval with the Impressions Abloom Dies), into a nice elongated Oval! It also uses one of my favorite bundles, Mixed Florals, and the fairly new embossing folder, Plaster Painting. I've seen this layout in several color combinations, but this one came from a Jeanette Proenneke, a stampin' buddy of mine!  I loved the pinks together, and so did my stampers at the Senior Center!!

Measurements:

  • Basic White: 1/2 sheet; 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" (arch); 2 3/4" x 5" (flowers)
  • Bubble Bath: 1/4 sheet
  • Berry Burst: 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" (arch)
To Make This Card:
  • Run Bubble Bath layer through new, Plaster Painting Embossing Folder.
  • Adhere to folded White card base. (There will not be a border/edge.)
  • Next, die cut White part of arch with the 4th from the largest Arch Die. Remove 3/4" from the bottom edge (or it will show under the Berry Burst piece.
  • Now, die cut the Berry Burst piece, using the cut edge of the 3 1/4" side, and cut only 2 1/4".  I used the grid on my plate to keep everything straight.
  • Now attach this piece to the bottom of the White arch, overlapping about 1/4" so the oval measures about 5".
  • Next, take 17" of Iridescent Strip ribbon and wrap around this piece and tie in a knot on the right side.
  • Attach to card front with Dimensionals.
  • Stamp "corn flowers" onto piece of White with Memento Black ink.  Color in with Blends.
  • Die cut with corresponding die.
  • Attach to Oval with Dimensionals.
  • Finish with Wink of Stella on all of the flowers, and scattered, retired Purple SAB sequins.
