Here's another lattice idea, this time using the Wildflower Birthday Die cuts. I also played with a less "bulky" lattice window configuration with the card front. I like how this one turned out much better than the Pretty Peacock one I posted about a week ago! Less bulk, cleaner results! Such a new layout!
Measurements:
- Pretty in Pink: 4" x 11"
- Bubble Bath: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (base); 3 3/4" x 5" (inside)
To Make This Card:
- Fold Pretty in Pink piece in half. Die cut rectangle opening approx 1 3/4" from the fold, in the front of the card with the "lattice" die. The die is the full width of the cardstock, You'll end up with a chopped up card front, lattice piece, and a scrap. Keep all pieces
- Place 1/8" Tear n Tape along the newly cut, front edge. Attach one long side of the "lattice" piece.
- Repeat for the other end as well, using remaining bottom piece (scrap)
- At this point, this piece is too long. Measure so card front measures 5 1/4". You'll remove approx.1/4" from the bottom of the folded card, both edges at the same time.
- Now, mount onto Bubble Bath Base, and insert smaller Bubble Bath piece on the inside.
- Select die cut of your choice for the front.
- Slip a Silicone mat inside and, using Multipurpose Glue, adhere die cut over the "lattice" and hopefully securing to both the top and bottom of the card. (Note: the cake that I used did not have a candle at the top, so I cut one from one of the many cupcake die cuts on the sheet of options.)
- Finish with a sentiment stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink, and scattered Sparkle Gems. I also added a couple of die cuts to the inside.
