I was looking for a card that would utilize the gorgeous, new Floral Impressions DSP. I actually saw this idea using one of our other new papers, and decided to redesign it! It's a "Becky Original" I love how it turned out! All products can be found on the Online Store! The flower dies are from the Impressions Abloom Bundle, and the die cut, peek-a-boo border is from the new Fancy Borders Dies. These are really great. Be sure to check them out!
Measurements:
- Strawberry Slush (N): 1/2 sheet, scraps
- Bubble Bath: 1 1/2" x 5 1/2", scraps
- Fresh Freesia: 1 5/8" x 3 1/2", scraps
- Old Olive: scraps
- Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4" (inside), 1 1/2" x 3 3/8"
- Floral Impressions DSP (N)(OE): 3 1/4" x 5 3/8"
To Make This Card:
- Die cut "modified" scallop border from bottom of DSP, leaving about 3/8" scrap from the bottom. (Save scrap that gets removed).
- Attach to front of folded Strawberry Slush card base.
- Next, die cut "heart" border die from bottom of card base, as shown, centering between DSP edge and cut edge of card.
- Add Bubble Bath cardstock behind "hearts".
- On the inside of the card, add the White layer. Then, attach the DSP scrap from the front layer to the top, as shown. Later, you can add a "flower" and "leaf", if desired.
- Now, die cut 2 Bubble Bath "flowers" (one each size) and 2 Strawberry Slush "flowers", one each size. Also die cut one small flower in Fresh Freesia (I used the cute flowers from the Linked Together Dies). And, 1 "sprig" and 1 leaf from Old Olive.
- Stamp sentiment in Memento Black ink. (I used one from the retiring Layering Leaves Stamp Set.) I stamped it little higher and to the left. Add to a Fresh Freesia layer.
- Next, arrange the flowers onto the "tag". Layering the 2 same colored flowers together. And tucking in the greenery.
- Add "tag" to front of card over DSP, with dimensionals.
- Finish with scattered, new pink gems!
